I purchased an ipod touch a few months ago. It comes with a usb cable which charges it, but I don't like it. First off charging through the computer is slow and you have to leave your computer on for it to work. I usually charge at night. I was having to leave my computer on several nigts a week which uses more energy. Second there are a lot more wall outlets around to charge it on than computers. I recommend buying this set. It comes with a wall charger and a 12V car charger. The price is SOOOO much better than the apple version of this. It was $30!!! This costs about $7 with shipping!! Works well and fits my needs and wallet!!!

i bought this item along with the home travel charger for Apple Ipod Touch Itouch 8Gbb 16GB for my son's ipod touch for christmas. as it turns out, the rapid car charge DOES NOT WORK WITH THE Ipod Touch. DO NOT order this item for an ipod touch.

This turned out to be an excellent deal for a pretty cheap price! Everyone knows how much iPod related items are marked up these days, but this combo deal gives you both the wall charger and car charger for one cheap price! Plus, you no longer are constrained to the mobility of your computer for having to charge your iPod up! This is an excellent buy and they are made with durable materials. Sometimes you get those cheap sets that look like you could get them out of a gumball machine, but these look durable enough to last through the life of your device. I highly recommend this package deal!

I bought this for my 16gb Ipod touch (2nd gen), and when I try to charge it a error message comes up say it cant charge with this device.

Edit: Previously I gave it 1 star, but this changed due to them e-mailing me saying they sent the wrong item. They resent the charger and everything DOES work now.

Ahem... before I say anything, I want everyone to know that I am 12, almost 13. So please don't think I don't know what I am talking about. Now, about the iPod chargers. The car charger I keep in our car, and it comes in handy when we're driving far. The wall charger goes everywhere w/ me, but when I'm @ home, it stays in my bedroom. If you people say they're cheaply made of plastic, DUH! If they were made of metal they'd electracute you, or if they were made w/ wood, they'd burn up. Besides, it's only three bucks for both. What did you expect? Plastic made for a millionare? Anyway, they have not shortcircuted my iPod touch, which is a refurbished 8gb 2nd generation. Just thought you people would like a positive opinion before you buy, but also an honest opinion. Now you have one.
P.S. If you say I write like an adult, it's because I'm in 8th grade even though I'm 12.

This is really great!! It is worth your money. I like the blue light the wall charger gives off. It is really awesome. I had bought a $20 wall charger from walmart, but i returned it to get this set and I am glad I did.

I ordered the wall and car charger for my Apple Ipod Touch. My Ipod was never charged. I would not purchase this product.

If you look at the title of the product the Ipod touch 2G is part of it. I purchased the product to be able to charge my device at work and so I plug it in and get this message on my ipod saying "Charging is not supported with this accesory" So yeah I bought it cheap, but I guess it was just one of those deals that was too good to be true. This product DOES NOT WORK WITH THE IPOD TOUCH 2G.

The car charger stopped working after one use--glad it wasn't an emergency when I realized I didn't have a working charger in the car. The home charger still works but I've only used it once, so I'm expecting it to be dead when I need to use it. I'd say you're taking your chances with this charger, but then it's uber cheap so what do you really expect?

We bought this for our son to use with his IPod Touch. Needless to say, it broke shortly after. It probably lasted a month or two - so I guess you get what you pay for.
