I just threw away my fourth plastic hose reel cart - absolute garbage! Three years ago I bought what I thought was the solution to the plastic dilemma - a hand made metal reel. This turned out to be strong, but being hand made it didn't have the refinement of production quality reels, and unfortunately was more garbage, and at a premium price.

I just got my solution yesterday delivered to my front door; the Rapid Reel. It's beautiful. I'm extremely impressed with the product. The minute I took it out of the box I could tell it was quality. Putting it together was a snap. Although I haven't taken it outside yet, it's obvious that it looks good, is of superior build quality, and is going to last a very very long time. It has nice wheel bearings, the welds are smooth, it has heavy gauge steel construction in the right areas, and the reel bearing is as smooth as glass. The choice of colors was a nice bonus as well. I will buy another one. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with this product. Do yourself a favor and BUY ONE!

Clearly worth the 3-4x price of the department/hardware store plastic WOM (waste of money.) It's a tad bigger than I expected (height), since I mostly use it to wash the cars and fill the kids pool, and water the lawn. However, it's worth the extra weight and size, since the ease of use (and rolling) far eclipses those drawbacks. I know, it's hard to believe that it's worth spending $140 on a reel, but you will have to find something else to complain about after you buy it. It just doesn't tip over and rolls back up quite easily thanks to the real "tires."

The most difficult part is convincing your spouse that it's worth that much money. Take my approach: Buy it first, then do the convincing after your spouse sees it :)

Recieved 5 days after order, assembled in less than 15 minutes.

Unbelievable quality, easy to move, perfect balance, Holds 125 feet of 5/8inch hose easy. Very easy to reel in, no possible tipping while reeling in or pulling out. Made in USA, quality like it used to be. highly recommend, with normal use will last a lifetime.
