The book gives great detail for the diet, and I am sure it would work, however I was not expecting this to be a book about the cabbage soup diet. This is pretty much what the diet is about. After one day on it, I felt like crap. I have read on other forums that it is simply because I was detoxifying, but I would recommend loosing weight the old fashion way with a proper diet and exercise.

Of course you can lose weight on a diet without fat, protein, or carbs. I was constantly hungry, no matter how much soup I ate. Forget about this diet if you already work out regularly, you won't have the energy or mental concentration to do anything

I read it based on the excellent reviews. It's basically a liquid diet. You might lose 10 lbs in a week but I'd be surprised if you could keep it off for any significant length of time.
