For added convenience, this folder is compatible with the CNTR electronic counter.

Customer Reviews

So far it has worked great for us My only issue is this thing is LOUD.
Shawn
It was easy to set up and with one minor setting adjustment we were folding our statements easily.

Even on the phone with tech support I it did not work properly and I was told it is just finicky.

We are a dental business that has owned this paper folder since August of 2006. We have never been able to feed more than 10 sheets at a time (unlike the advertised 50) and most of the ones we do send through get wrinkled or do not get folded properly. Also, the tray to catch the papers just tosses them on the floor and they end up in bunches not separated. When I called tech support for the product I was told it wasn't designed to catch the papers and keep them in the tray (what do they think we want to do with them???). Even on the phone with tech support I it did not work properly and I was told it is just finicky.

I bought this back in 2005 and have used it maybe 3 times. It wrinkles the paper, jams, throws them all over the floor (the paper tray is virtually useless). I spend so much time collecting papers off of the floor and smoothing and re-folding the pieces that I might as well have folded them by hand in the first place.

For the price of this machine on Amazon, I am very impressed. Although I cannot speak to longevity, I just opened the box today and the machine was ready to go. Folded my 250 mailers in minutes!!! While I agree that 50 sheets may be pushing it on the feeder, and you could end up with one or two on the floor that don't get caught by the tray, overall I rate this machine as excellent!!! For a sole proprietor looking to save time, I would highly recommend it.

This is a good product for the most part. I agree with others that you have to read the instructions and get the machine set up properly for it to work. The paper catcher rack seems useless so I just put the machine on a counter and catch and stack the sheets as they come out. I mail about 200 pieces per week and it is worth every last penny I spent on it because now I don't have to spend hours folding the letters. The machine folds about 2 sheets per second and it holds about 30 sheets in the feed tray. So I have all 200 letters folded in about 2 minutes! It is beautiful!!!

THE PREMIER (MARTIN YALE) P7200 LETER FOLDER IS A LIGHT DUTY MACHINE CAPABLE OF FOLDING 500-600 LETTERS PER MONTH. IT DOESN'T TAKE UP MUCH DESK SPACE.

WARNING: IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE PAPER FEED GUIDES ARE PARALLEL. IF NOT, IT WILL CRUNCH UP THE LETTERS. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU SET IT UP, READ THE DIRECTIONS, AND VERY FIRMLY TIGHTEN THE NUTS. THERE ARE BETTER MACHINES, BUT THEY COST A LOT OF MONEY.

THE PREMIER "THREE SHEET" LETTER FOLDER (HAND FEED) IS A TOY.

Our church purchased this machine a few years ago to fold bulletins we print weekly for our worship services. We are using it to this day, but since we use thicker paper, we can only feed about 10 pages at a time. If you don't keep a hand on the pages, the small centered roller usually pulls the paper in at an angle and makes a bad fold. Sometimes it pulls multiple pages in and jams. About a year and a half ago the rubber roller started to spin freely, which made the machine unable to pull paper in from the tray. My fix was to epoxy the roller to the metal bar. This machine is a piece of junk and we are currently looking to replace it.

This unit works great. Feeds and folds just like you would expect. It's quite a bit faster than I thought it would be. It will burn through all 50 pages of a paper feed in maybe 30 seconds. Then you'll have 50 pieces of paper you have to manage. Give to someone else, or stuff into envelope yourself. The different folds are nice, but we only use standard #10 C fold. This is the default the unit ships with, and we haven't touched the platen knobs except to loosen then tighten so we understood the process.

I do not understand all the negative reviews this has gotten. It took me about 15 minutes and about 30 pieces of paper to get it right and it has had one minor adjustment (see below) on the feed tray. Here are the facts of how it worked for me that I think will be most helpful for you:

- Over 6,000 letters have been tri-folded with this machine and I have had less than 15 that mis-fed or crinkled. That is less than 0.25% loss.

- Of those 6,000 letters, NOT ONE SINGLE LETTER has fallen to the ground from the catch tray. Maybe I just have mine positioned correctly and others haven't - I don't know. Now I usually have to flip a few around to the proper orientation because they flip when coming out, but most of time it stacks up to 40-45 (that is all I run at a time; 50 is the limit) just perfectly.

- I cannot begin to tell you how much money this has saved me because of the hours of work it has saved. It has paid for itself many times over already.

I had a friend who had one of these that he highly recommended, but I was very hesitant to buy this one because of the negative reviews I saw on here. I am telling you, if you take a few minutes to set it up properly, it works perfectly. I had to make one adjustment on the feed tray since I've had it because the nut had come loose. Since others had stripped that nut, I did not over-tighten and that is what caused it to come loose. I was just being too cautious, I guess. I tightened it a little more the second time. That is the only adjustment this machine has had.

There is no way I could have mailed that many pieces without this machine. I am a one-man business and don't have hours to sit around folding letters. I am 100% satisfied with this machine.

EDIT: One final note - I have only ever used 28# paper on it, so maybe that has something to do with it, too.
