A refreshing and comedic group of skits done by Hawai'i local Rap Reiplinger. He is able to portray all that is the Hawai'i culture in about 1 hour. If you're from Hawai'i and haven't seen this, shame on you! ;) And even if you're not kama'aina, but have a light hearted sense of humor, you'll enjoy this DVD.

It was great to see this. We lived in Hawaii for almost 10 years and were accepted by the locals. We love the humor that Rap shares in this video. It's almost like being there again.

The late Rap is probably Hawaii's great comedian. A great example of Hawaiian humor at its best. If you don't laugh, you never been Hawaii.

I'm glad other buyers found this DVD hilarious, but I thought it was relentlessly unfunny. I bought it for my brother-in-law for Christmas, since he loves Hawaii and all the reviews were positive. We tried to watch it last night. To start with, Rap's speech pattern is difficult to understand and the muddy soundtrack doesn't help. His "jokes" are terrible and his sketches look like something a failing student would produce with all his stoner buddies in a High School Audio/Visual class. There wasn't a single moment of wit or insight. You're better off spending ten minutes finding funny stuff on YouTube than wasting your money on this.

Hawaii represented by one of the best. Too bad his life was so short. A big time loss for Hawaii.

Exactly like how I remembered this show. I believe laughter helps you live a long healthy life and with the everyday stresses being able to pop in the raps Hawaii video and share laughter and the good ole days with my own kids is so much fun. Clean comedy is what we need more of these days. This particular comedy with lots of local Hawaii accents "pidgin" I feel would be understood by many who don't speak or not familiar with the language. You'll laugh your pants off. Love it!

If you like the CD you will like the DVD. It is pretty funny stuff.

I was living on the islands when this aired but wasn't watching much TV. Now I get to see what I missed, it's truly "not to sweet . . . not to rancid". Great old kine hawaiian humor by one of the greats that will always be missed.
