About the Author

Sam Sikes is the co-founder of Learning Unlimited Corporation in Tulsa, a training organization that specializes in experiential learning techniques. Sam trains, facilitates, and speaks nationwide in a variety of corporate and educational settings including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and universities. Best known for his creativity, Sam has trained groups as few as two people and as many as three thousand. He trains challenge course facilitators, corporate trainers and develops related indoor and outdoor training for adults. He is active in organizations such as the Association for Experiential Education and the American Society for Training and Development. In 2000, Sam received the "Karl Rohnke Creativity Award" from the Association for Experiential Education. Best known for his creativity, Sam Sikes trains and facilitates for a wide variety of businesses and organizations. Sam also conducts trainer workshops to teach others to use any of the activities from his books. . . and more.

Sam has a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and has been in the training field for more than a decade

Months before "Raptor" was published, Sam Sikes presented a custom workshop for our facilitation team. We had the opportunity to experience many of the activities featured in this book as participants. Since, I have been fortunate to facilitate many of the activities. I'm not sure which experience has been better.

Experienced facilitators who purchase this book are almost certain to be thrilled. A plethora of new, dynamic, versatile activities are well described. The mousetrap activities alone justify the purchase of this book. New hula hoop challenges, an excellent newspaper activity, co-facilitation tips and much, much more. Also, for those familiar with Sam's previous books, Raptor features significantly more photos.

In a previous review I stated I am satisfied with discovering three "keeper" activities when I purchase a new resource book. I am overjoyed with the dozens of "keepers" in this publication. Do yourself a favor, stop reading my review and read Raptor.

If you haven't experienced the "experiential" games using the mouse traps - you gotta get this book! Corporate groups love them!!

I have used several of the games in the book. I especially enjoyed the game 'Raptor'. I believe I will have many, many more uses for the games in this book. If you want to check me out, look on page 159 for me doing the McAbee move. I can also perform it on any hot chicks!!
