Good funeral doom album, April 30, 2005
At the time it was released, Rapture was hailed as a doom/death masterpiece. I wouldn't go that far myself, but it is a very good recording that keeps me interested throughout. The atmosphere they present is very cold and monotonous while still letting the melodies ring through. Check out the song "Wunderwerek" for a good introduction into this band's sound: slower than slow, ultra-long, and still ultra-memorable.
Rapture came very highly recommended to me, and I'll pass the recommendation onto you. Also check out other great funeral doom artists like Skepticism and November's Doom.
