I was looking for something new, something better and I found it in this singer/songwriter and this album. Danielia has a beautiful and strong voice, like Tina Turner and Janis Joplin. Buy it.

Picture it - 2006, Middle East Cafe, Cambridge, MA. Danielia opens for Bob Schneider. Blown out of the water. First record, like a hot buttered biscuit you just wanted to sop up all that good blues. Then all my friends, tell me of her appearance on NPR. Went out and bought the record, Rare Child. Too short, what 40 minutes? Regardless, she rips it up and she owns it. What you're listening to and you have the opportunity to see her live, little to no difference, however, LIVE Danielia Cotton is truly electric and, in my humble opinion, does not disappoint. Danielia Cotton is wonderful. Should you groove on some rockin' blues not since Janis, then this is it. Truly amazing. Oh, a shout out to Bob Schneider for introducing her to me at the Mid East.

I had the pleasure of seeing Daniela Cotton in 2005 and was literally blown away. I also had the pleasure of meeting her and having her sign my CD which I purchased where I saw her. I have played that CD over & over & over and was thrilled to hear of her new CD. I have played that one many times already. She is truly a gifted talent and hope she continues to sing her heart out!

Proving that Small White Town is no fluke, Rare Child is a great effort by a great artist. A few of the songs here have a softer sound but the rock sound is still very much heard. Maybe not as hard rocking as her concerts but still this isn't soft and folky.
All the songs are worthwhile and that is surely the sign of a first rate work. One wishes that there was more than 10 songs and 39 minutes here but what is here is just right. Here's hoping this finds an audience.

Took a chance on this CD after listening to the sound clips. #1 in my car for the last several weeks. The band is tight, the vocals are crisp, the song writing solid, and this little black girl definitely rocks my world! I could single out a few of my favorite cuts, but you will find your own... BUY THIS!

Danielia Cotton is a awesome singer/songwriter! Her lyrics are raw and real! She is amazing. It is inspiring to see artist that defy stereo types! A beautiful African-American Female rockin' it out!!!! I love it!

Seen her live for free when she was toruing promoting her first album. One of those few singers that can give you chills or bring a tear to your eye. Just outstanding, and not the same run of the mill sound.

Daniella Cotton has a unique style - a blend of rock that is a style all her own. Nice music. Highly recommended!

this gal can play and sing! i was amazed at her range of music and style. she can rockout or captivate you with her voice. daniella does it all. i have all her music. there is not a weak song in the bunch. you can't go wrong. join the cotton club.
