folks, let me tell you, this product is nothing but crap, it absolutely does not work, I tried and tried to make it work and was unsuccessful. For example, no matter what you try there is no way to make the grips hold you ipod in the holster, & the reception from the transmitter is awful. Please don't waste your money or your time.

I bought this as a replacement for an older version I had. My major dislikes:

1. You have to sit and hold down the on/off button for about 5-6 secs before it comes on. So you can't just get in your car, push a button and be on your way...
2. Automatically goes off after about 30secs of idle time so if u pause your ipod say to pick a call, next thing you hear is static. If you don't have a mute or ATT button on ur stereo, not worth it
3. Per the other reviews, high possibility that the ipod will slip when you run through a slight bump

I was better off with the basic one I had before (only lets you switch between 4 pre-determined stations) since it didn't have a mind of its own and had a good, safe grip on my ipod.

This product works ver well and dose what it is suppost to do. All one can ask for. Only problem is if u dont have room around your cig. lighter then there might be a problem. Not to movible and has limited space. I put it in my 4Runner and it works fine when I dont have to change tracks on a CD. It's kind of in the way but I like the product and it was a decent buy.

When I purchased this item my main worry was that my ipod was going to slip off it while I drove (since my job envolves driving around on very bumpy surfaces all night) and although that was a mild problem, I put a rubber band around it and moved on. It was working great. It allowed me to listen to my own music while I worked. Then somewhere about six hours into working and listening, it just got really staticy. Even in places that it worked before it was now unlistenable. Even in my personal vehicle (which it worked fine on, on the way to work) now sounded horrible.

So like it says in the title, the first six hours of use of this product were wonderful, its the next six that were miserable and made me think that I just wasted fourty dollars on something that only worked for six hours.

I will let it sit for a while and try again tommorow at work, if it works then, I will take it all back, if not, then I stand by this being a waste of money, and I will return it.
