4.0 out of 5 stars JUST LIKE THE TITLE SAYS, February 2, 2008

JUST LIKE THE TITLE SAYS, THIS IS A CD OF RARE AND WELL DONE RECORDINGS BY BO DIDDLEY. NOT HIS MOST WELL KNOWN SONGS, IN FACT, ONLY FIVE OF THESE SONGS WERE EVER RELEASED, THE OTHER ELEVEN WERE UNRELEASED AND WERE RECORDED BETWEEN 1955-1968. BUT IF YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME GREAT BO DIDDLEY (WHO DOESN'T?), THEN YOU WILL LOVE THIS CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well done, indeed, January 20, 2008
This review is from: Rare & Well Done (Audio CD)
I picked up this Cd for 3 bucks, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of these rare tracks and outtakes. 'Please Mr. Engineer' is one of the most bizarre tracks you will ever hear, and by itself worth the price of admission. 'Automatic Love' is more quintessential Diddley, but has a fresh, off the cuff spontaneity about it that sounds wonderful five decades later. Many of the tracks highlight the unique genius that Bo brings to his sound,,,he is a true rock and roll original. This should not be your first Diddley CD, but you will probably enjoy it nonetheless if you like rock and roll roots music.
