5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find prehistoric plant
I looked everywhere trying to find this plant. My Aunt has one but didn't know what it was called. I took pictures of it and took them to every plant place and nursery I could find. No one knew what it was. At last I was sent to a nursery that is ran by a master of plants. He knew what it was as well as that is was a prehistoric plant. I hope it lasts long enough to look...

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Quality - 2 of 3 stems died within 2 weeks
I was so excited to have this plant. It arrived very poorly packaged and the dirt had gone everywhere. I repotted and watered according to recommendations. Two of three sprouts died within 2-4 weeks after I owned it. One hadn't fully bloomed yet and it just died. The other just got all brown and died. I think they were poor when they arrived and just didn't survive...

I hope it lasts long enough to look like my Aunts whose is very big and beautiful
It is a very low maintaince plant which is just what I like.
Thank you Amazon. Without you I may have never found it.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Want to Know How Tough a ZZ Plant Is?, December 13, 2010
This review is from: Rare ZZ Plant-Zamioculcas zamiifolia - House Plant - Bonsai
You want to know how tough a ZZ plant is? I moved in late September and all my house plants were supposed to come directly to my house. Other items went to storage until we finished the remodel. You guessed it! Movers packed my ZZ plant in a box, in a storage pod, outdoors in Arizona. Our Fall was relatively hot this year--hit 100 degrees several times in late September and early October. Just unpacked one of the last boxes today that were delivered from the storage pod about 3 weeks ago. There she was--poor little thing. She was about the size of the picture in the upper right had corner of this page. Four branches--three of which died. The other is still green and there are 3 new shoots coming up out of the pot. Gave her a drink and put her in filtered light. We'll see how she does but I'm very hopeful!

When it arrived in the huge shipping box I had no idea what to expect but after digging through the packaging I discovered the the plant was in very good shape. I am amazed at the habits of this plant. It is already growing beautifully after only one month in its new habitat. It is quite fascinating to observe and requires so little but offers great rewards.I love it-- it was worth every penny!

I think they were poor when they arrived and just didn't survive after repotting as a result. Sad. They were all really thin and wobbly, nothing like the picture - where they have thick stalks and look big. Just scrawny. I saw some at Ikea and plan to get some there if they are still there.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent ZZ plant, January 12, 2011

I had no idea how BIG this plant was going to be, considering the price and how small plants typically are when sent by mail. For the price this is a great deal, plus they are beautiful and packaged nicely! I ordered some other plants for about the same price (including shipping) through other sellers, and it doesn't compare: the others are much smaller, come with at least one or two half-dead plants, packed in ridiculously wasteful and, in my opinion, non-professional manner. Cheers

Beautiful. green and just plain ole heathy plant arrived! I hope that I can keep it that way for I have no "green thumb"! But I did plenty of research on this plant, so my chances of keeping it healthy are good - hopefully. Came across this plant by accident when I was looking for a window treatment(curtains) for my "barren" living room window. It appealled to me because this plant did not have many reqiurements - I can handle that!

I love the plant! Easy to care for. That is until I put it in a clay pot 4 months later. Using miracle grow water control soil. Learn from my mistake, add gravel, and dirt to soil. After lots of research, I finally found out why my babies started drooping off the side. Hope I can save the little guys. No real directions came with the plants.

Plants were healthy when they arrived. Sent in a prompt manner. Would recommend getting these plants as they are easy to grow and don't require much light.

The plant arrived only a few days after ordering and it was carefully packed and in perfect shape.

This is a very good-sized plant (about 14" tall) with three 'stalks' -- it looks healthy and I'm giving it the necessary neglect (letting it get very dry before watering and giving it diffuse light). Hope to see new 'sprouts' (or whatever you call them) soon.
