After always having skipped Rascal Flatts for fear of another boy-group in country disguise I recently had the pleasure to see them open for Kenny Chesney and to mildly put it: I was more than impressed!!! I think they almost stole the show with a tight set, that had everything from their hits to ballads to jamming instrumentals to punchy rock'n'noll!
So I decided to get a shot at this CD, which I then found out it is actually a DVD with a full concert ("Melt on the Beach") and an accompanying CD. This is a Live-DVD like no other in country music; matter of fact I guess there is only a hand full of big production concert DVDs (if any at all) available. "Melt on the Beach" has great camera shots, even better music and a wonderful live feel to it. It makes you want to go out and go to their next concert right away.
The CD (although short) holds an excellent live version of "One Good Love" that drags out with playful instrumentals which you rarely get to hear in country music plus the audio version of some tracks from the DVD.
A one-of-a-kind great package that will get you dancing!
P.S.1: I don't understand why there are no other country DVD offerings available like that, when they are all over the place in pop music. Just thinking that none of the great Garth Brooks concerts or videos is available on DVD makes me wonder. Making a concert special definitely is expensive, but packaging existing videos shouldnt be that much of a deal (not one of the great Reba videos is available on DVD to my knowledge)!?
P.S.2: Fortunately this DVD is NOT region code 1, as indicated by Amazon, which being from Europe allows me to watch it too. This brings me to another questionable business aspect: coding Music DVDs with region code 1 means, that only North America (or whatever the detailled region is) is able to play that DVD. And since country music DVDs (such as the Greatest Video Hits by Travis Tritt for instance) are not issued outside of the US mostly, they will forever remain a well hidden secret for the rest of the world (unless you make an illegal copy to strap the region code, which is the only way to watch it all - can we call that promoting illegal copying by record companies!?).

I loved the DVD! I just saw Rascal Flatts live and the dvd has as much excitement in it as they do in concert. I would highly recommend it for any fan.

If you've ever been to a Rascal Flatts show, then you know what a great show these guys put on! However, if you haven't this live DVD will definitely make you want to attend one! Once you've watched the DVD, you can then take the fun into your car cd player by listening to some of the tracks on the cd. This DVD/CD package is well worth the money!

This DVD/CD duo is a great way to experience the true Rascal Flatts concert excursion. The CD contains 5 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED... meaning they are live versions or songs only performed at a concert.. they have never been on another cd.. The DVD is wonderful.. the behind the scenes are hilarious and the concert itself is taken from their Daytona concert special broadcasted by CMT. I often have it playing in the background when cleaning or exercising... If you haven't seen Rascal Flatts live in concert personally, don't judge a book by its cover... but until then.. pick up the DVD!!!!

Rascal Flatts fans won't be disappointed. It's nice to be able to get a glimpse of their life on the road and the people they get to travel with. Also if you haven't had the opportunity to see them live this gives you an idea of how powerful and exiting their shows are. I would highly recommend buying this for those of us who enjoy their music.

I like Rascal Flatts. The DVD and CD (with five songs not previously released) were just what I expected. I liked having the CD of the songs available just to play later. The DVD was almost like being at the concert. It was lots of fun.

Don't miss this concert event!!!!! Rascal Flatts gives you an awesome concert right in your own home. Great playlist of songs and plenty of live album twists. You'll love their rendition of "Lean On Me." This is a must my for all fans, young and old.
