Useful Item,
This review is from: Rasfox NEW KeyBoard Cover Silicone Skin(Clear) For Apple iBook (Electronics)
Great price for a useful item. I read about all the issues people had with the keyboard heating up because of the silicone trapping the heat, but I found this to be a relatively minor issue as I keep the skin on only when I am eating near my Macbook or when there is some other threat around exposing my computer to more dust particles than normal, such as my cat who sheds. It is a perfect fit, and it is not completely transparent, but you can still see the keys. The silicone is very soft, and I actually like the way it feels to type more with the skin on. It molds each key perfectly, and mutes out the sound of the keys. All in all it was a great shopping experience! Also, Mactop refunded me some of my money when the price went down after I bought it. If you want to protect your Macbook, this is a great accessory to have at a decent price.

Very nice product although it's not suitable for the new white macbook keyboard. It doesn't fit over the "enter" key

Throwing it away after 6 months,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rasfox NEW KeyBoard Cover Silicone Skin(Clear) For Apple iBook (Electronics)
Fits well: The skin fit well on my white 13" Macbook and definitely would have kept out any spills or crumbs.
Warps easily: The skin warps easily from the heat of your hands (especially the part where my palm rests on) and gets all stretched out. Slips out of place: I tend to rest my wrists on both sides of the track pad, but if I let my wrists slide toward me even a little, the entire skin slips out of place. It gets pretty annoying having to constantly readjust the skin every time I rest my wrists on it. Attracts dust: The skin seems to attract dust very easily. The dust mostly accumulates on the side that does not face the keyboard, so it doesn't actually get int the keys, but it just makes it look so dirty. I had to wash the skin once every week or so (with soap and water). Changes color: I've had the skin for about 6 months and the skin has turned an unattractive shade of yellow. I decided to throw the skin out and purchase the more pricey Moshi clearguard keyboard protector and the Moshi palmguard (in white). It cost about 4x as much for the clearguard + palmguard, but it's definitely more worth it than this one.
