Adult Beer Man Costume

My fiance and I went to a party as Beer Man and Beer Girl this year, and it was definitely a hit! The costume is basically a polyester t-shirt and pants (which, according to the labels, can't be cleaned at all), plus a cape, a foam rubber pair of briefs, foam rubber leggings, foam rubber wristbands and "beer goggles".

The shirt, pants and cape all fit perfectly and were very comfortable. It basically was like wearing Superman pajamas. The foam rubber leggings and wristbands were both a little big (this is "one size fits all"), but I didn't have an issue with either one all night. My two problems were with the briefs and the goggles. The briefs have six "holsters" on the side that you're supposed to be able to put beer cans in. The problem is that the openings are so small that you can't fit normal cans in there. You have to get the slim cans (like Michelob Ultra), which are then way too tall. I bit the bullet and used empty cans (which I emptied myself the night before!), but they kept falling out, to the point where I gave up and left the holsters empty (though it did a nice job holding a Corona for me later in the night).

The goggles were definitely the worst part of the costume. There is no way you can wear these things like they show in the picture, as the plastic "lenses" are so tight to your face that they poke you in the eye. They also distort your vision (which I guess makes some sense, since they're "beer goggles").

Overall, I liked the costume, but a couple of flaws kept it from being as good as it could be.
