Sue Lehman does it again! Great read, keeps you in suspense till the end! Poor, poor family trying to get over the grief of their dear Ruth, but are they? Many possibilities, the suspense was thrilling!

The Rat is written in an extremely interesting style, switching from character to character throughout the book. A clever mix of tragedy and mystery, The Rat is a wonderful book for all who love the guess who style. Keep writing them Sue!

This book was really enjoyable and I look forward to other books by this author. Fast reading, keeps your attention and fits together nicely for a great mystery romp.

"The Rat" is a murder mystery but it flows like unbridled rapids. The challenge to figure out "whodunit" keeps the pages turning. The story is unveiled with a unique non-static, first person voice. The presentation of the evidence runs neck-and-neck with more murders, more crimes, and twist after twist. Mary Higgins Clark writes very good murder mysteries. Each one bears her style. "The Rat" has a completely different tone, an approach to literary homicide that is unexpected. Ms. Clark has a new challenger for her crown. Author Lehman tell the story with many different characters in this book and each one is unique and believeable. "The Rat" will consume you. Since you won't be able to put it down, I suggest planning to do nothing but read it! Now that I have finished reading it, my only regret is Lehman's next novel is yet to be written.

This book was engaging and exciting right from the beginning. The style of transitioning from chapter to chapter kept me from putting the book down before it was finished. I read this book in one sitting and was left wishing there was more to read.

I read The Rat cover-to-cover, barely pulling myself away for bathroom breaks. A fast-paced mystery with a very engaging mechanism for moving between points of view until all sides of the story are revealed. I highly recommend this book to all mystery buffs who want a riveting read.
