What the kids think of Ratatouille,

I purchased this game for use of two children ages 8 and 9. We have a library of about 15 DS games and this is one that they ask for most often. My son plays it almost every day. Some spots are challenging for him but not so difficult that he gets discouraged. He knows other kids playing the game too so they help each other out with it. He specifically requested this game because he knows other children using it too, that was a main factor to my decision to buy. For kids in this age range I would definately recommend it.

It was opened the moment it was received and continues to be a source of great enjoyment...and my daughter is almost 18! She can't put it down...she has mastered almost every level...it is great fun for gamers of all ages!

The game is a little monotonous and the cooking part is a bit difficult. The graphics are interesting and so is the way the movie is emptied into the game. It's somewhat fun but after a while it looses its spark.

The main game start in a backyard where you master the basic controls, moving into kitchen where you try your best not to alert the grandma which starts trowing tomatoes at you, and so forth. Also, comes with a smaller cooking game, that kind of models after the Cooking Mama.
The graphics are nice, the controls are smooth, and it's modeled after a hugely popular character. So, my 7-year old nephew really loves it. However, if you're an adult stuck playing this game, complaining of how simple or mundane the games gets should be the least of your concerns.

The graphics are good, but the cooking game isn't so great. It takes a while to get the hang of it, and it quickly gets monotonous. The story mode is fun, but it really takes two people or three hands. You must operate the control keys (+) and the letter keys while moving the rat with the stylus simultaneously. Only buy this game if you think that that is no problem.
