There are few music CDs that my kids like to listen to from beginning to end, and which I, the driver, enjoy as well. We love food and cooking, and this CD makes us hungry just listening to it. It is fun! Quality song writing and singing.

in response to the reviewer below me, nenekaka, Weird Al is in fact given credit for the LYRICS of the song on this cd. since "Taco Grande" is in fact a parody of Gerardo's song "Rico Suave", Gerardo is given credit for writing the music. in 2007, Disney hired Tim Buppert to re-record "Taco Grande" for an "inspired by" soundtrack companion to Ratatouille.ALL of that being said, even though they may not make it public knowledge, you can bet that most songs that have been re-made are being done so because the artist doing the remake has been given permission by the artists involved in creating the original. but it makes me truly sad that instead of taking this remake as the sincerest form of flattery (as all imitations and re-makes are... after all, who wants to re-make a BAD song) you tell us as a reviewer that the whole cd sucks and is "stolen". if you don't like the re-make, that is one thing, but don't make threats that are untrue or malicious, because that really IS something that people can take legal action against... it's called defamation of character, and it is something that DISNEY, of all companies, would never do.

What more to say, then it was a fun book. I love it.Colorful and entertaining. I used it for research for designs. Fun time as most of my work is research for serious, this was a fun commission. Children love this little rat too!

Taco Grande is not an original song. In fact it was written by "Weird Al" Yankovic way back in 1992. He is not credited and I believe is not even aware of this track being distributed and he HAS been notified, hopefully he will take legal action. I don't know how many more songs are stolen on this album but just go out and buy the Weird Al Yankovic food album if you want an excellent version of Taco grande.
