I am so grateful to Daniel. I was given this album, and it has not left my CD deck since it arrived. It is quite simply spell-binding from the first note to the last. That's about as much as I can turn into words about the music, hence my gratitude to Daniel for expressing my detailed thoughts on Alex's great music for me. Musically, Alex is in a domaine upon which I am not qualified to comment.

Alex is so very talented; I cannot for the life of me understand why so little is known of her. It really is not right that an authentic talent should be ignored while far inferior "singers" find fame and fortune by fabricated means.

As I wrote at the start, I have this CD. Now I know where to go to buy some to give to people I know will be at least as captivated as I am. Thank you, Amazon!

I can't remember when I've been more amazed by a singer. Alex is such a phenomenal talent that it's only a matter of time until she's captured the attention of the world. The music is razor-sharp, the originals are nearly as good as the covers. And what covers! Al Kooper's I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know, The Four Tops' Sugarpie Honeybunch (with the Tops on vocals!), a Stevie Wonder medley, The 4 Seasons' Beggin'. This is jazzy, gospel-tinged R&B of the highest order. Alex' pipes are solid gold, straight outta Paradise.
Buy the album. Get ahead of the inevitable buzz!
