About the Author

Chuck Carlock served as a combat helicopter pilot in Vietnam in 1968, during which he participated in fighting against all three of the major enemy offensives of that year. He is the author of Firebirds and The History of the Tenth Texas Cavalry (Dismounted). Chuck lives in Fort Worth, where he is the director of tazes for a prominent Texas family. His position involves the structuring of some of the nation's largest business deals.

Ron Seabolt is the National Director of the Rattler/Firebird Association. A volunteer, he served as a crew chief during 1966 and 1967, earning thirteen Air Medals, three with V devices for valor, and a Purple Heart.

I have been trying to get this book for a long time. I have a friend that is mentioned in it. The stories are all true. They actually happened as told. It is a good book to find out how it really was in Nam.
