5.0 out of 5 stars STRIKES!
If you like southern rock or are just wanting to see what the guitarist with Lynyrd Skynyrd sounded like way back when, this could be a disc for you. It's a great price for a ton of music from the 80's, particularly if you are new to Blackfoot. If you already have heard Blackfoot, you might want to get a regular release like "Strikes", "Tomcattin", "Flyin' High", or "No...

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy-Handed Skynyrd
This southern rock is Skynyrd without the boogie section. It's got a real hard edge to it which makes songs like "Train Train" rumble. Overall, the idea of this band is better than the pay off however- I was a huge fan of Medlocke when he was with Skynyrd but this band lacks something. The song writing is simple, straightforward but not very exciting. They never really...

All have excellent tracks and for the most part are budget priced. If you enjoy live, you might try "Highway Song - Live". This compilation contains their hits [Wishing Well, Train, Train, Foxhunt, and Highway Song]. Rickey Medlocke and the rest of Blackfoot rocks on this disc. It's a great place to start or a nice disc to toss in a jukebox in the gameroom. Buy with confidence. This is really good!

5.0 out of 5 stars A LITTLE BIT OF NATIVE AMERICAN SPIRIT, August 19, 1999
By A Customer

I would have to say that medlocke's blackfoot were one of the best southern bands to happen back in the 70's.They had a great melodic twist to their sound.I really thought it was great that they were all native american, and kickin down some righteous tunes.

feelin' good comes from a 1976-77 release on epic records. the name of the album was flyin' high, the best blackfoot ever! they also had a 1974-75 release called no resivations on epic. I would give anything to find these 2 on CD.

BlackFoot in my mind is the only group to play train, train the way it was ment to be playes. AeroSmith played it in a watered down remake compared to BlackFoot. I will be getting additional copies and will be sending them to some of the local progressive radio stations in my location since they claim not to have it.I found the BlackFoot RattleSnake disc to be a very high quality and have the origional BlackFoot on a record one copy open and one still sealed as a collected version I have not seen any place execpt you operation that had this disc and am Impressed by you selection of not having just one but several different disc's of this classic artist I commend your operation for providing access to this classic music Amazon.com ROCKS THE PLANETS keep on rocking Dwight/Alpha

4.0 out of 5 stars Blackfoot Rattlesnake Rock Bites!, October 16, 2006
This review is from: Rattlesnake Rock N Roll: Best of (Audio CD)
I saw them open for KISS in 76 and they blew me away.
But for some reason I never bought any albums. I never
heard them on the radio. I always thought they were
another Skynrd type band but they are NOT! They are
just kick butt rock and roll! I love it! I love the
live versions so much I wanna get the live album now.
Reminds me of Saxon or UFO live. Awesome. I'm sorry I
didn't listen to them before. Train TRain, Wishing Well,
Queenie and the kickin' Good Morning are just killers!
If you think they are just some southern band think again.
Highly recommended for any hard blues rock fan. Buy Blackfoot!

The most juiced-up Sountern Rock around. Check out the Tango guitar on "Too Hard To Handle" and I always get a kick out of Rick's ole' man. It's a shame that there aren't bands like this around today.

They never really diverge from the dual electric guitar set up (on the best of). They are good at what they do, playing fiery southern rock- but they are one dimensional in this respect. So only 3 stars from a lover of whiskey rock n roll.

4.0 out of 5 stars A pretty nice selection of songs, December 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Rattlesnake Rock N Roll: Best of (Audio CD)
First this cd got lost in the mail or stolen and amazon sent me another one free of charge. At any rate this is a good selction of songs but I don't know why donig my job was put on here or the live version of trouble in my mind. I wish Teenage Idol, Reckless abandoner, street fighter, or Searchin was put on here. I didn't have Feelin Good on any other cd or record and I like it. The other two live versions Road Fever and Good Morning are well done but probaly not quite as good as studio versions.
