Do you like to brew 2oz double shots of espresso? Good choice. Yummy.
Do you want to measure your shots accurately for quality control? Great idea. Very professional.
Are you planning on using a 2oz shot cup? Horrible idea!!
To get 2oz of coffee, you'll need at least 2.5oz of room for the foamy crema on top.
Filling a 2oz glass to the top will make you inevitably spill scalding coffee all over your fingers.
Most shot cups 2oz and larger are stainless steel with no handles, so you can't even grip the sides without burning your fingers.

I've been using this glass since Christmas 2010 and I've only found one problem: I should have bought 3 so I don't have to wash one constantly. Its my absolute favorite piece of espresso equipment and nothing else works better.

I have two of the Espresso Supply 2oz heavy shot glasses but needed a single bigger glass for a bottomless portafilter. I've washed the Espresso Supply glasses both by hand and machine with no problem and the marker line is still intact as it was since day one. I sponge washed the Rattleware glass on the first day and the marker lines are already chipping. You would think they would make the lines with something more permanent. If you buy this, rinse with water only. Don't use a sponge or machine wash it.

I'm very pleased with this shot glass. It's great for making Americanos, since I prefer to pour the espresso into the hot water rather than the other way around. It has two spouts so you can pour the espresso without making a mess.

It fits great in a Gaggia Classic. Just enough room to slide it under the portafilter, and it is wide enough to catch both streams.

It has a handle to make it easy to use when pouring, and graduated markings up to 2.5 ounce. It holds 3 ounces total if filled right to the rim, so the effective capacity is about 2.6 ounces to prevent any spillage.

Very thick glass. The product photo does not do it justice - I've added a photo of it in action.

Highly recommend.

I have been using one for years. These shot pitchers are available at any number of places for about half the price. Five stars for the product, one star for the price.

It is smaller than the pictures, and it holds max 3 ounces. I would have preferred one that holds 4 or 5 ounces, and one that had a larger opening; hence 4 stars.

Measurements: It is 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) tall. The opening at the top of the shot glass (all of these are inside measurements) is 2" in diameter (5 cm), and is 2 5/8 inches (66 mm) across the spouts. I've used a ruler for all of these measurements. The glass is thick, about 3/16" or about 4mm thick. This is good.

In use, for my device -- the Breville Barrista Express -- it is almost the right size, but it fills to the top when I produce a 2 ounce shot because of the foam. I have to watch it closely so that the coffee won't miss the shot glass. Thus I would have preferred if it was maybe 1/2" or 15mm wider and held 3 or 4 ounces. Oh well. I might find something to raise it closer to the bottom of the portafilter so it'll have a better chance to catch all the coffee that's espressed.

I hope the measurements are helpful -- I know I would have wanted this information before I made the purchase.

The description on this products says "The glass body of this shot pitcher also makes it easy to quickly view the size and quality of each espresso shot pulled, saving time and improving quality." but it does not hold up to hot water. Mine cracked within two weeks. If your going to use this for espresso, move along to a different product, it's not desgned to hold up to the hot water.

I have had two of these for a few years now. I find their design nice. I wash mine in the dishwasher and all the lines are still fine. Another reviewer is correct, the opening isn't huge so it wont collect the shot if you are using one of those splitter things, but those are supposed to put the shot into two glasses, so you could use two of these. The glass does seem a bit brittle. I have chips on the spouts of mine from small falls on the counter.

I absolutely love this lil thing, works way better than two shot glasses. My Delonghi espresso machine doesn't distribute the espresso evenly to both shot glasses so I'm constantly lifting up one side or the other to even out the flow into the shot glasses. This lil guy works great, no more lifting, just push the button and watch it fill up. Perfect fit!
