First off,Let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of T.Styles and really enjoy her books! But I have to be honest and say that Raunchy just didnt do it for "me".I loved the plot but the story did not go like I thought it would.I felt like there were too many characters introduced and too many story lines going on which constantly took the focus off of...

Man...where do I begin? Raunchy was a different type of book. Yes, it had your run of the mill drug dealer in it infused with the hard knocks of street life. But this book was focused on the love of a mother - or lack thereof. Though entertaining and comical, Raunchy showed us just what happens to those kids who become adults that were never showed any love or how to love. Raunchy held no pretenses - T Styles takes you straight to the core of the story within the first few pages. If you have a mom that was loving and showed you how to love, then Raunchy is going to make you want to call up Edible Arrangements and order her the biggest fruit arrangement they have. Raunchy is definitely a 5 star read - once again Miss T Styles writes with a mission. If you want a jaw dropping book that is filled with love, pain, betrayal and a bunch of drama that will make you say WTF - then this book is definitely for you!! CONGRATS MiSS T STYLES - this book is a winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars T. Styles, are you okay??, December 22, 2010
This review is from: Raunchy (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Paperback)
T. Styles, I must ask if you are okay. What goes on in that head of yours? This book was oh so good!! How do you come up with this stuff? I have never read anything like this before and that is a good thing given all the books I have read! Each page is full of drama, and action. You will find yourself visualizing exactly what is going on. I CANNOT WAIT for part 2!! I know there are people like this in real life, but Harmony Phillips is truly the worse of them all. This is "Precious" to the 16th power!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars OOOOO WEEEEE!!!, January 23, 2011

I read a LOT of books and and have read a lot of good ones too. However, this book, OFF THA CHAIN!! I loved it!!! I never wrote a review before for any of the books I read and felt the need to write a review for this one. T. Styles put her foot in this book! Harmony had a f'd up life, shoot most of the characters did! I'm not about to write a book about the book and tell the story. However this is the prime example of how cycles need to be broken in families today! This happens in real life and people need to choose to break the cycle of their parents mistakes. This book is a real page turner and it's not a predictor! I recommend everyone to read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Raunchy, February 7, 2011
This review is from: Raunchy (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Paperback)
First of all, I have to say, I did pass this book by numerous of times and chose other books to read instead.

However, when I finally did read it, I had to kick myself. This book was so good. It was good from the beginning to end and it

really did show how children are not appreciated and treated with love. There are so many wolves in the home and out that are willing and waiting to take advantage of children because they are unable to protect themselves. Society seems to look at the product and not the manufacture. Raunchy explicitly displayed that molestors come with all kind of titles and unearned trust. My advise is in the words of Antwan Dodson, "Lock your window and lock your doors, they raping everybody". I have to say this is one of the best books I have read in the last year hands down.

Thank you T. Styles.

One more thing, you have to read Black & Ugly as well as Black & Ugly As Ever too, she did her thing on those as well..

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW.......EXCELLENT BOOK, January 13, 2011

Raunchy is a heartbreaking story of failed mother and daughter relationship. This was the first book I read by Author T. Styles and definite would not be the last. This book was so good it was hard to put down.

Cornell Phillips is a well known drug dealer, married to Estelle along with their five year old daughter. They live in quiet estate at Concord Manor. When at the tender age of five, Harmony is abruptly taken away from her home by her scorned mother, her world is rocked. Without her father's protection, she doesn't just lose her lavish lifestyle and father's love ,she also loses any chance of a normal and healthy life.

Many years of mental and physical abuse from her mother, Harmony develops a seething hate toward all women, including herself. She develops into a cold, calculating, young and beautiful woman. Harmony is forced to relocate out of state. Her fast sexual lifestyle causes her to breed kids of her own. Harmony doesn't know how to love or show love to her children and teaches them as her mother treated her.

When Harmony discovers that she has inherited Concord Manor, she uproots her children from their new home in Texas, and moves them back to Maryland. Secrets come out within Concord's walls and somehow, her children gain the confidence they'll need to fight for their lives.

After reading Raunchy all I could say was WOW...this book was titled perfect. Raunchy will take you thru such emotions, you be left sitting with your mouth open.... Raunchy shows you when kids who become adults that were never showed any love or how to love what consquences it may hold. The author takes you straight to the core of the story within the first few pages. This book is filled with love, pain, betrayal and a lot of drama.

I would recommend this book to any book lover. This was the best I have read so far in the year 2011.

Okay, lets begin....T. Styles has done it again. I personally cannot wait for Raunchy part 2 and Mad's Love. Harmony was a piece of work. Her life was hard yes, but she made it that way. The way she treat those kids, had my heart cringing, the fact they they thought they were boys made it even worse, but the book was a good read. If you guys have a chance to read this book please do. Again there is a lesson to be learned and an educated life sorry behind it.

If you're looking to read something totally different...this is the book for you. You will not want to put it down, even though the families are disfuctional and the storyline is very sad, it's also very interesting. This was a great read. I can't to read part 2.

First off,Let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of T.Styles and really enjoy her books! But I have to be honest and say that Raunchy just didnt do it for "me".I loved the plot but the story did not go like I thought it would.I felt like there were too many characters introduced and too many story lines going on which constantly took the focus off of Harmony. There were plenty of shocking moments and twists throughout the book (good thing) as well as too much filler (bad thing). The flow of this book was just off and all over the place. And at times, had too much going on.

Im surprised that I felt this way about this book and even more surprised that I had to give this book a 3 due to all the 5 star reviews..well..I guess I was fooled.I really had high expectations for Raunchy and just knew that it was going to be a classic novel. But I have to keep it real and say that I was NOT impressed by this book and instantly wanted a refund.

Not only that, this book was about 336 pages long with a cliffhanger...I wasnt feeling that at all.On another note Im still a fan and will continue to support the author, and hope that she redeems herself with the next novel.JMO
