The first part of the big two-part battle takes place when Musica faces off against Ogre--but as he's not strong enough alone, he needs to find himself an ally. The one he finds is Reina, about the last he'd expect to come to his aid. I'm always impressed when a manga blindsides me with an emotional response I never saw coming, and this volume did it. I had thought the series was going to flag after the first story arc ended, but I was quite wrong, and I'm very happy about that. **** |
