So tell me, did vol. 25 leave us on the worst cliffhanger in the world, or what? Haru runs into Belnika again, and Belnika discovers she's supposed to kill him. This does not compute with her, so she confronts Harden, who lays everything out for her (while smacking Luna around in the process for "filling Belnika's head with all that gunk"). And so the scene is set for Harden's planned destruction of the Mystic Realm. But Haru and the gang have a few plans up their sleeve... my only regrets about vol. 26 were (a) that it wasn't three times as long as all the other books in the series and (b) I didn't have vol. 27 standing ready when I finished it. *** 1/2 |
