Becky, an avid gardener for more than 30 years, runs a well-known garden design and maintenance business, Blue Planet Earthscapes. She is a respected lecturer and teacher on living harmoniously with the land and has written gardening columns and articles for publications including Springs magazine, Permaculture Activist and The Pikes Peak Bulletin. A portion of this book won first place in creative nonfiction in Pikes Peak Writers Conference's Paul Gillette Memorial Writing Contest in 2003.
