Product Description

If you consider yourself an Edgar Allan Poe fan and you have loved the melodic lines of “The Raven,” then you must read this eBook! Experience Poe’s famous foreboding foul like you’ve never seen it before … with all new illustrations by master puppet designer, Philip Hatter from Thistledown Puppets. Designed exclusively for the Amazon Kindle, you won’t see this version of the poem anywhere else. This edition boasts an all new foreword from author A.D. Lucas and over 40 never-before-seen illustrations featuring the three-dimensional sculpted characters from the world of Thistledown Puppets. Each character was crafted exclusively for this Kindle release eBook, which is available for the first time right here, right now.

This eBook is art, and it’s different than other eBooks because it was created using the Kindle itself as the medium for that art. Careful attention was paid to the way the e-Ink screen fades and shifts as the reader moves from stanza to stanza and illustration to illustration. These illustrations were made with light and shadow in just the right places to allow the reader to read “The Raven” and take full advantage of the technology that is quickly becoming the standard for all eBook reading in the world today. You’ll notice the glowing eyes of the Raven fading in and out as you turn the page. You’ll see the narrator of the story come alive in a sort of eBook animation as he opens the door and peers into darkness. This eBook show the potential the Kindle has to change the way people read and experience literature!

Whether you’re a fan of Poe’s work, you’re a puppet aficionado, or you are simply crazy about your Kindle, you can’t go wrong with this eBook. Download this special edition of “The Raven” today!

More About the Author

A.D. Lucas lives in Virginia and at this moment he is either writing, running, reading, or making himself a sandwich. That's pretty much how his days go.

He began his writing career at the age of seven, when his 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Lester had him write a poem about a snowman. She said she liked it, and she mentioned that sometimes people publish such things. That little bit of praise inspired his epic 4th grade poem entitled "War" which won a little trophy and was published in the county-wide literary journal. Oh, after that, it ... was ... on.

He's been writing like mad since then. He published his first poems as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech. His fiction and poetry have appeared in small literary magazines around the United States, and his plays have been produced both in the U.S. and abroad. His 2008 children's play BULL, A PUPPET MUSICAL, was produced and performed for a couple of years in Greece and in Spain. His latest work includes more children's theater and some intriguing young adult fiction.

A.D. Lucas blogs at www.adlucas.com and owns and operates the small imprint publishing company Madflamingo Media at www.madflamingo.com.
