this is one of my favorite rap albums of all time but the private sellers are trying to take advantage of people. if you want this exact album for the artwork or the value of the rareness i say go for it. otherwise you can get this album directly from andre nickatina's website for about $14.99 (plus shipping). also check out his latest release booty talk. it's not as great as this album by far but it's another decent release from one of the bay areas hottest mc.

Andre Nickatina released the album Cocaine Raps in limited numbers, roughly 50 to 1000. The album cover had a skull and crossbones on the cover. It is Dre Dog's first album as his new name Andre Nickatina. He later rereleased this albums as A Raven In My Eye on Dog Day Records. This had slightly more copies made(1000 to 2000), but is still extremely rare and hard to find. To add to the confusion, Andre Nickatina rerelease the album Raven in limited numbers (quantity unknown) and that will soon become a classic. All three of these albums are identical as far as the tracks are concerned. Only difference is artwork and value. The most valuable is of course the original Cocaine Raps ($300 plus), next is Raven In My Eye ($110 Plus), and lastly, Raven ($90 Plus). The original Cocaine Raps Volume 1 is a must have. It is one of Dre Dog's Best Albums and easly one of the best rap albums of all time.

His beats are so sick, his lyrics are sick, and to top it off his attitude is sick.

this is nickatinas second album since changing his name, he was formerly known as dre dog. this cd is tight... the carnival, and I'm a pisces are 2 of the best tracks on it. If you like this, you'll wanna check out I Hate You With a Passion, and The New Jim Jones, under the name dre dog. Nickatina just dropped a new album in '99 called 'tears of a clown'.. nickatina just keeps comin.

This Summer I spent in the Bay Area around San Francisco. I Heard a lot of great Rap, Andre's songs vere some of the best. They had great lyrics. I bought Andre Nickatina Raven in my eyes, and know I bying I Hate You With A Passion the cd Andre made before Raven. I can't wait to get my copy. Thomas

With his switch from being known as "Dre Dog", Nikatina has brought about a refreshing new style all his own. The sheer speed of his raps and his hypnotic voice makes this cd a must buy.
