5.0 out of 5 stars On of the better books I've read in a long time
This book has a strong plot as long as you read it carefully. I found the style of writing incorperative and the characters in it seemed real. The is a lot of violence and gruesome passages; however, they add to the atmosphere. Give this book a try.

Raven's Point was a bit of a pointless book- but if you're into the gruesome/horror/confusing types of stories, I guess it was okay (and only okay). Raven's Point was a bit of a pointless book- but if you're into the gruesome/horror/confusing types of stories, I guess it was okay (and only okay). It's basically about a small island that is slowly being destroyed by an ancient (confusing and unexplained) evil that has come back after centuries. Four teenagers must try to do what their past lives did not suceed at: destroy the evil forever with their (odd, confusing, unexplained) powers before it destroys their town (again). Quite gory, gruesome, and chilling for a thunderstormy night read- but there is a bit of a plot lack so I won't suggest looking forward to any big twists or anything you haven't predicted.

1.0 out of 5 stars Silly with a badly developed plot and too much gore., August 22, 2004
This review is from: Raven's Point (Hardcover)
I found this book rather pointless. The plot was poorly developed, with not enough background given for the development of the "evil" that was out to get everyone. The "special powers" the main characters had were incredibly silly, and confusing as well! Not to mention, this book had too much gore that did NOTHING to further the plot. What happened to Melinda Metz? Roswell High and Fingerprints were so good... among my favorite series ever... and now THIS!

1.0 out of 5 stars Eeew., August 22, 2004
This review is from: Raven's Point (Hardcover)
This book was so disgusting. I don't know how I finished reading it. It's about teenagers on an island. They have to fight an evil that lingers there from centuries before. Not only was this book unnecessarily violent and gruesome and gory but the plot was ridiculous. The "evil" was never explained, where it came from, why it's evil, etc etc etc. Also the teenagers' powers were extremely silly and the conclusion was ridiculous and unsatisfying. I can't recommend this book to anyone!

3.0 out of 5 stars Blunt, but okay, August 25, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Raven's Point (Hardcover)
She portrays teens horribly as caring only about "getting laid" or "getting into someones pants" which is totally wrong well as far as i know being a teen with teen friends. Some romantic parts are romantic and sweet some over sexual some just Too much info. She also tried to add too many underlaying messages which just took away from the real paranormal story the book is advertised as. The main [or wat should be the main] story is over all okay its just not well enouugh developed and things happen too fast and seems like it should be aliens not ghosts. It kept me reading though which is no easy task. I am a 15 y/o male and i was some wat offended by sexual parts. I recomend u to read it with that warning. also some foul language too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahem, April 21, 2005
This review is from: Raven's Point (Hardcover)
To all you losers who just dissed this book I would love to see you write! and you if do, I am very ashamed of you. I, myself a writer, think this is a wonderfull book. It does deal with real teenage life; I hope you all know that the male sex thinks about sex every minute. Yes, I have read the ENTIRE book. Anyways, give some good words! I actually like this book and alot of others. Yet, it doesn't seem any of these other commenting people have read this book, only the back cover =P. I do recommend this book unless your too weak minded to read it.
