Good ideas and poor execution,

Remember Disaster Report? That was a game that came out a couple years back that actually tried to breathe new life into what could be considered the survival horror genre by incorporating elements of a natural disaster rather than typical horror elements. Raw Danger is a sequel that basically follows the same blueprint, as you are put in the shoes of multiple characters that are trapped in the middle of a cataclysmic series of disasters to hit their island cities. What makes Raw Danger worth playing are the game's unique qualities and shifting gameplay, with a storyline that is actually more than meets the eye as well. There's plenty of survival horror-themed thrills as well that keep the excitement meter pumping throughout the game's length. Good points aside, what kills Raw Danger are the game's poor graphics engine, lame voice acting, and the fact that the game's actual gameplay can be overly annoying and a headache to play through. That being said, Raw Danger is a hybrid of good ideas and poor execution as a whole. However, there are far worse choices as the releases for the PS2 dwindle in number and in quality, so for hungry survival horror fans clinging to their PS2, or gamers who actually enjoyed Disaster Report, you could do worse than Raw Danger.

I am about 3 hrs into this game so far and up to this point it's worth the money so far. I mean you can tell it's a budget game but it's not really that bad at all.
The graphics are pretty decent but the voice levels need a lot of work. A lot of the time you can barely hear the voices over the roar of the flood and such and there is no way to adjust the voice volume that I can see. The object of the game...it's seriously flooding, the city is falling apart and shaking with quakes, and you need to get the heck out of dodge! lol You start out as a waiter named Joshua in what looks like a banquet for some mayor I think. As you are "waiting", all heck breaks loose and you and the guests need to get out of the city and to safety. So the adventure begins as things continuously get worse and worse. If you want something different and you enjoyed Disaster Report, then I recommend picking this one up for under $20.

i was a fan of a disaster report and was a bit sceptacle about raw danger because of the switching of characters through out the plot. this game i think is a lot better than disaster report. something i didn't think was possible. the intertwining of character's paths through out the game were just mind boggling. it's def. different. and it lets you play each character just enough to have fun, they don't drag out the story line at all. i'm hoping for another title from agetec bc this game is simply amazing.
