This review is from: Raw Epicurean Beverages - 101 Fresh Organic Recipes (Kindle Edition)
This is a good recipe book (I hesitate to call it a cookbook because there's no cooking involved), but it doesn't work well on a Kindle. Recipe books are essentially reference books - you don't read them front to back then put them on the shelf, you flip back and forth through them. You look up what you want in the index or the table of contents and go directly to it. If there's a way to do that easily with the Kindle I don't know it. To make a recipe book work on a Kindle it needs to have a list of recipes at the beginning with a link to each one - scan through the recipes, scroll to the one you want, click and you're there. Add that to this book and I'll give it 4 stars.[Edit Aug. 2011] My Kindle broke nearly a year ago and I replaced it with an iPad. This book looks great on it. It also looks good on the Kindle PC app and the Cloud Reader. With the PC app and the iPad it's easy to search for a recipe name or an ingredient and quickly find the recipe you want. |
