Anatomy of a Glove
Gloves are designed to perform a relatively simple task--catch a ball. The quality of materials and craftsmanship that can go into a building a glove, however, can be surprising. Below is an overview of a glove's components and how each helps optimize your defensive game:

As mentioned above, age and position are the most significant factors in selecting a proper glove size. Outfielders need larger gloves with deeper pockets for maximum "catchability," while infield gloves are smaller and have shallower pockets for optimal control and speedy ball removal. Some pitchers opt for infield gloves that are slightly larger than standard, yet small and shallow enough for rapid fielding and throwing. Most younger players will benefit from youth-sized gloves that help with control, and it's a good idea to resist the temptation to buy a larger glove the child will grow into.
The tables below offer a general guideline for proper glove size by sport, position, and age.

This glove is well built, comfortable, and for the price, I really don't think it can be beat. For playing in the yard with your kids -- this is your glove. Probably not the best choice for the adult weekend warrior playing ball with some seriousness.

Poorly padded, definitely better options out there,
This review is from: Rawlings Pro Lite Series Basket Web Fielder's Baseball Glove (12-Inch) (Sports)
As the previous reviewer stated, if you're just looking for a glove to play a little catch with the kids, then this glove should be just fine. However, for anything more than that, I'd definitely spend an extra $10 to $15 dollars and go with a Rawlings Preferred Series glove instead. This glove's palm area is VERY poorly padded, and playing catch with it can quickly turn into a painful exercise. While the poor padding may be ok if playing with kids incapable of throwing much heat, if you're playing catch with anyone over the age of 10, you definitely want to spend more and get a better glove. I bought this glove for my girlfriend so we could play a little catch together; I ended up giving her my glove and using this one because if was too painful for her. Using it for ten minutes convinced me that this glove is definitely not a keeper. To sum up, unless buying the glove to play with young children, spend a little more and get something of a bit higher quality.

Okay but not a steal,

I was looking for a glove to have around to throw the ball with my kids. This one is simply too stiff. Not a bad price and the glove is okay but not ideal.
