I purchased this to catch for my son who has aspirations of becoming the next CC Sabathia... He was stinging my hand with my old fielders mitt. I have a larger, thicker hand, and thought this mitt was pretty darned tight. It works, and has gotten better, but it definitely takes some effort to get it on and off. Good quality construction and not overly stiff.
