These glasses are great and function as intended. I am a pilot and they are great for my use. However be aware that they are mirrored. That may not be what you are looking for. I kept mine but wish I hadn't gotten "grey".

I bought the polarized lensed black carbon sunglasses. I was looking for a black aviator with the right size lenses and the other models were either too small or too large. I bought these and they're great except the grip. They slowly slip off of my face. They're great for loungin' around a pool, but for anything other than that they'd be off in a matter of seconds.

I've had a range of Ray Ban aviator style glasses since the '80's. These new one's (I got the black/green glass polarised 59mm one's) are up to standard and surpass the previous models in many ways. They are lighter framed, the ear pieces grip well and light rain doesn't pool on the lenses (hydrophobic). The clarity of the lenses are fantastic as usual. I was originally contemplating buying these locally but I was taking a long time considering the price and suddenly, these were no longer available in my local stores in 59mm size so I quickly hopped on-line. Glad I did. I am very happy with the purchase.

I love the size of these glasses! It's not too big and not too small... it's the perfect size... That is the type of Ray Ban that I like! Fantastic!

This is my story with the RB8301 002/N5 (Black Carbon/Green Polar.)
I haven't bought these from amazon but I wanted to contribute with my impression about them.

I've never liked Ray-Ban very much. Everything I used to see was somehow stylish sunglasses but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. In my opinion most Ray-Ban sunglasses aren't worth the high price. I also thought big sunglasses wouldn't look nice on me.
Since these sunglasses were released I completely changed my mind. Carbon fiber is top-of-the-line material. The result is a very lightweight and flexible material, being at the same time very resistant. It's exactly what I was waiting for: an advanced technology and material that justified the high price.
Let's go through the PROs:
- Carbon Fiber looks really great (It's different, though. It's a love-or-hate thing)
- Aviator-like style with less agressive lines, exactly what I was looking for.
- Very lighweight frames
- Very resistant frames
- Polarized Crystal lens (not plastic) which make these shades a little heavier than the other Tech sunglasses (still very lightweight) and reduce glare.
- Chromatic Enhancement: to be honest I thought it was only marketing, but the thing is for real. It really makes the green look greener. Very interesting effect !
- Grip: I understand other users may have had problems with gripping but it was not my case. It's VERY hot here in Brazil (summer) and I use to run in the beach with these sunglasses. They don't slip or fall.
- They sit very well. I haven't had any problems with fitting so far.
- Carbon Fiber style case. Very nice touch.

CONs:
- The price is still high, but if you take care it will last like forever.

great shades, great design and great delivery. we bought two of the same model and sadly one of them arrived bended. shipping them back is a costly encounter. hope the seller will come up with a solution for this. the color, material and finishing of the shades are of great quality and highly recommended. Good polarized lenses but not suitable for active sports as they slip. one month after purchasing the lens fell out and sat loose in the frame. Could not be tightened. Bottom line nice sunglasses for driving and waking around but not a sports frame. Awaiting replacement from Ray-Ban which they say can take 4 to 6 weeks. Maui Jim's turnaround is a few days.

I bought these sunglasses on a whim at a whopping $220 BUT...I don't regret it at all. Originally got these for my husband for our trip to Europe and now am finding myself borrowing it as well. They're a great fit, durable and lightweight and the updated look of these aviators with less agressive lines are "tres chic" in a unisex way...(it that makes sense). The only con, the nose grips do tend to slide off slowly when hot and sweaty but what doesn't???Seriously, you're sweating. Just puch them back up ;-) I'm glad Ray Ban is finally catching up with the fashion times.

I love this sunglasses, it is so light and you hardly feel it. I feel so comfortable wearing it on the sunny day!
