I ordered two of these, one for the front and one for the back. I chose this one because it was recommended by Real Simple magazine. I have difficulty with many nozzles because they are difficult to turn on and off or to change the spray setting. My spouse has arthritis in her hands, but this nozzle is much easier for both of us than any we have ever tried. You only need to lift the little lever on the end to turn the water on or off, and it moves easily and smoothly. The spray is easily changed with the ring in the front. I thought it would be heavy from the photos, but it's actually lightweight and easy to hold, especially compared to the heavy metal ones we used before.

I likes this product for about two weeks almost bought another one until it started leaking and spraying out of multiple settings (ie Shower and Full) which is just a mess. I emailed the gauranteed&raypadula.com just to beignored for two weeks. Then I started calling their customer service which is non existant and you are actually prompted to leave a vmail then the recording states the voice mail box is full and you cant even leave a message. What a sham, i'll never deal with any of Ray's crappy products again. FYI - This is my first customer review and I purchase over 100 items from Amazon each year....

I am an avid gardener and have burned through a lot of hose nozzles that typically last a season or less. I just got this one about a week ago, but it seems very well made and the thumb control mechanism does not have a spring, so that seems promising for longevity. The thumb control is a lot easier on your hand than the squeeze-to-water variety. The patterns are also particularly nice compared to some of the others I have used, especially the shower pattern.

As a professional window washer, I have the need for a reliable and accurate nozzle. I first used this at a customer's home and ordered a couple the next day. Very comfortable grip the the trigger design allows for good control.

I had never seen a hose nozzle like this one before, and I was intrigued by the design. It had many positive reviews, so I gave it a try as I needed a new nozzle. Boy, I was so happy other reviews were right. It does not leak (if you tighten it enough - the first time I used it I had not made the connection firmly enough) and it is truly easy on your hands. The thumb nozzle is genius, and bonus, the product is made in the USA. Best $14.99 I've ever spent.

I can confirm that this is an AWESOME nozzle! The thumb switch which turns the water on and off is easy to use, and doesn't need to be held down to keep the flow of water going.

I just used this to wash my car and it worked great! I even dropped it on the ground a few times, and it was durable enough to withstand the impact without damage.

Highly recommend! I don't think they could design a better hose nozzle than this!

I got used to buying a new nozzle every 6 mths to a year, because they all would break. I came across this brand at Home Depot two years ago and purchased it. Finally, someone created a nozzle that works and lasts. I love to garden and so I'm pleased to say:

~ I have used and abused this thing and it still works perfectly after 2 years(it's been thrown onto cement many times).
~ It's so easy to turn on and adjust the settings.
~ There's no leaking or corroding either.

When my front yard nozzle (another brand) finally broke and permanently corroded to the hose, I of course had to purchase a Ray Padula nozzle for the front yard too. I couldn't find it at Home Depot anymore, so I searched the internet and found this one. A big thanks to this company for making this product and to Amazon for listing it and having the cheapest price out there!

We've always had trouble with nozzles for the garden hose. Usually it's lucky if a nozzle lasts one season, and even then it is often leaky. But this nozzle is perfect! It was easy to install, and works perfectly. I wasn't sure what we would think of the thumb switch in action...however, we really like it! It is easy to use, and readily allows for fine-tuning the flow volume. Also the assortment of water patterns is helpful.

I can't imagine ever wanting to use a different nozzle now that we've been spoiled by this Ray Padula model. Since there's a lifetime guarantee, we won't need to!

Even though it is quite early in the gardening season sometimes I make up some little chore just so I have an excuse to unroll the hose and point the nozzle where the water's needed!

So, you have gone through nozzle, after nozzle, after nozzle, and are scratching your head. "Why is it that every nozzle I buy, turns out to be a worthless POS?" Answer? Its because you keep buying nozzles that cost between $2.00 to $8.00! I am sure the cheap price is attractive on some nozzles, but you usually get what you pay for.

Why just recently, I had a $5.00 nozzle fall to pieces on me, every part of it was made of plastic and weighed less then half a pound, gee, I wonder what went wrong? I tell you what wrong, I bought cheap POS, thats what! After reading a review from a very respectable guy who lives in Flordia, I just knew I had to try this thing out.

As soon as I received it, I couldn't believe how heavy duty it was, this thing must weigh a whole pound at least! And this whole thing isn't made of plastic either, the only plastic pieces, are the on/off adjustable valve, and the pattern dial. Other then that however, its all made of metal and rubber for grip.

The nozzle actually comes with a quality o-ring gasket system to prevent leakage. But I always like to take a step further and put some teflon tape onto the garden hose, as this is meant to stay on permanently, and not be removed often. I find the pattern dial to be quite useful, as it provides whatever patter you need for watering or washing, I prefer the shower spray myself.

I also find the on/off adjustable dial to be extremely useful. Unlike other nozzles which have a spring that can break, or other plastic pieces, this thing is a simple forward and back lever, and it stays right where I want it too! This is why its the perfect nozzle for my utility sink. When I have soap all over my hands, or anything toxic, I don't have to work hard to get it on.

In short, this is the best nozzle I ever owned, 5 out of 5!

I am absolutely thrilled with this hose nozzle. It is the best nozzle I have ever used. All the 5 star reviews are well founded.

I have probably had and used 40 or 50 nozzles in the 50 plus years since I have been buying these things. Some basically don't work right from the get, some work OK and some work fairly well. But it seems something is wrong with nearly all of them, the pattern is not right, they leak or dribble, they are difficult to twist or adjust, the trigger sticks and most just stick and stop working properly in a short period of time.

Although I have only been using this about a month or so I can't attest to it's longevity as of yet, everything else is working perfectly. The patterns are all precise and they are all usable depending on the configuration you might need. Probably the greatest feature on this nozzle is the thumb flow control that just works great. From full force to low flow the patterns still keep there shape. The end that connects to the hose has a washer with a removable filter screen attached to it to keep stuff from clogging the nozzle. The handle is extremely comfortable and the whole thing seems well made.

I have a large patio behind my house and my wife has it loaded with potted plants. She also grows quite a few different types of herbs which are also potted and this nozzle works exceptionally well at watering them all without wasting water and getting it all over every thing else.
