5.0 out of 5 stars Provides lots of shade for baby

2.0 out of 5 stars Too flimsy compared to other models
Pros:
Self contained pocket

Cons:
Doesn't get the job done when it's windy

Summary:
I'd previously purchased a similar cover by Protect-a-bub, but decided to try this model because it cost half the price. In this case I got what I paid for--the 'tent rod' that is inside the front rim of the shade is too thin and doesn't keep...

I really like my stroller, but the canopy is very small and my baby is very, very fair. I thought about buying a new stroller with a fancy canopy, but decided to try this first.

It did take some time to figure out the best way to attach it to the stroller. But now that I know how to get it on (so that I can still collapse the stroller), it is very easy to use. The material is very stretchy and it easily covers my Peg Perego Aria stroller. If anything, it is a bit too long. I really like the fact that it offers side protection too. It rolls up into a small little pouch too.

My only complaint is that on windy days the lightweight canopy can blow upward, let the sun hit baby. I'm thinking about sewing a little weight into the top of it.

In this case I got what I paid for--the 'tent rod' that is inside the front rim of the shade is too thin and doesn't keep the shade in place when there's wind. In contrast, the protect-a-bub model has a slightly thicker 'tent rod' in the rim, just enough to make it a little more stable in the wind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sunshade!, May 7, 2006
This review is from: RayShade® UV Protective Stroller Shade Improves Sun Protection for Strollers, Joggers and Prams Black (Baby Product)
We bought this at BRU before our trip to FL for a week vacation at the theme parks. We used this shade the entire trip (5 straight days of morning to night theme parks!) and he didn't get one ounce of sun! I loved this shade. I found it easy to fold, easy to open, easy to lower. It did blow around in the wind, but then I realized if you just attach the lower straps as far down as possible on the stroller, it doesn't do this. It was great for naptime, because we'd just pull the shade all the way down and it would cover up his feet and keep it dark in there...yet cool. I totally recommend this shade if you are going anywhere with a baby and need coverage from the sun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Necessity When You Can't Use Sunscreen, September 29, 2005

I love to take long walks with my son. It was difficult to do that during the summer with only the shade of his car seat. This ray shade came in handy and I plan to use it with my stroller when he is ready for it. It is very easy to attach and take off. Just be sure to close the velcro tabs after use or they can ruin the material of the shade-if they get stuck to it. It happened to me the first time I put it away.

I really love this. We live in Arizona and the sun gets pretty bad
. It is large enough that i can cover my son up completely. The only rewason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is a bit of a pain to keep back when there is no sun but that could also be my stroller. I just tuck it under.
a must have

I'm a runner and there is a huge lack of stroller's that come with large canopy's that actually block your child from the sun's harmful rays. This sun shade makes a world of difference. I can go running in the morning with my son in tow and not have to worry about him getting a sun burn or having the sun in his eyes. It's one of the most valuable products that I've purchased sinced my son was born.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ray Shade a hit and miss, August 13, 2005

This shade works very well from 10-2 pm, but as the sun's rays start to angle, the shade does not completely cover my little guy without blocking his view. And if there is any sort of breeze, the shade front flips up. I find myself adjusting it 10x more than the little umbrella we used to use. The shade is lightweight and looks cool and is definitely a help, but if you take your child out at odd hours or if you live in a breezy area, you might wish to consider a stroller umbrella.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sunshade - Works like a charm!, March 1, 2006
This review is from: RayShade® UV Protective Stroller Shade Improves Sun Protection for Strollers, Joggers and Prams Black (Baby Product)
This sunshade works great! I use it all the time and am happy with it's performance. I was a little peeved at the fact that it came with very few instructions, but then realized that there are many variations of how to attach it to many variations of strollers, so I can see now why no instructions. I would recommend this.

We bought this sunshade for our Graco Metrolite LE stroller and it does provide quite a bit more shade than the original canopy which is great. It's easy to attach and detach and the side pockets come in handy for stowing burp cloths, toys, keys, etc. The odd thing about this shade is the front tends to flip up rather than down allowing more sun into the stroller. I can't figure out how to get the front to flip down (or just stay straight for that matter). If I could figure out how to get the front to stay down I would have given this shade 5 stars.

I am using this shade on Maclaren Volo and it works great! I am able to fold shade down, still attached to stroller when i dont not need the shade and also folding the stroller with the shade NO PROBLEM!! I dont understand why there is reviews that stated the shade MUST be removed before folding the stroller?!

See the photo I provided..
