Product Description

Platform: Xbox One

The critically acclaimed Rayman Legends is now on Xbox One. Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, and Rabbids, brings his innovative creativity to next-gen consoles.

The Glade of Dreams is in trouble once again! During a 100-year nap, the nightmares multiplied and spread, creating new monsters even more terrifying than before. These creatures are the stuff of legend: dragons, giant toads, sea monsters, and even evil luchadores. With the help of Murfy, Rayman and Globox awake and must now help fight these nightmares and save the Teensies.

Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.

I'm the type of person who has a job and can't spend a million hours playing games... but this one has me hooked for long enough to prove its worth... great fun, and finally something that's really, really fun to play as a multiplayer game! Get it, you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun February 19, 2014

The wife and I are having a great time playing this game. It isn't so challenging that it is frustrating, but yet isn't a boring cakewalk like some nintendo games have become. Its fun to play and looks great while doing so.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Pinnacle of the Platforming Genre February 27, 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One
I bought Rayman Legends on Xbox One due to the high praise the game received upon it's initial release on other consoles. Along with my love of Rayman Origins, scores like 9.5/10, 4.5/5, 10/10, and 9/10 peaked my interest as I was very suspicious of the game on a non-Wii U system (as the game was originally designed to take advantage of the Wii U's gamepad). When I sat down with Rayman Legends on the Xbox One, I was blown away with the brilliance of it. The level design, the constant changes in gameplay mechanics, the array of characters, the BEAUTIFUL art, and the whimsical music are a testament to how far video games have come (and this isn't meant to illicit a fanboy response, as I am a Nintendo fanboy myself, but the degree of creativity in this game makes my beloved mario series seem bored and uninspired).

If you're a fan of platforming, please pick this game up. While this game doesn't take platforming "forward" in any significant way, Rayman Legends is a testament to the perfection of the platforming genre. I have played video games for more than 20 years and I have never played a game as refined as this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars ADDICTING!!! February 21, 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One|Verified Purchase
i didn't know what to expect besides it being a 2D platformer but Rayman Legends is truly ADDICTING. I highly recommend this game to anyone who has an Xbox One or any gaming system period. I finished the story mode jut yesterday but i still find myself playing the extra challenges and i am not disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rayman continues his reign as the King of Color! February 18, 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One
oly macaroni... what a vivid, imaginative, and colorful universe this limbless fellow lives in!

I was a huge fan of Rayman Origins, which was released two years ago. At that time, I considered it to be the best 2D platformer in the history of gaming, and I believe that has remained true - until now. Ubisoft has done gamers everywhere a huge service by improving upon their remarkable formula in every possible way, and delivering a game that's even BETTER than the awesome platformer that is Origins.

Foremost, the visuals of Legends need to be addressed. One of the best things about Origins was that it looked like you were controlling a cartoon, which resulted in terrific animations, slapstick comedy, bizarre spectacles, and OODLES of SMILES. I would have been perfectly happy if this sequel looked exactly like Origins, but somehow the developers have made it look even better. The graphics in this game POP like nothing I've ever seen before, and it looks even more like an animated movie than ever. Graphics generally have little to do with actual gameplay, but in the case of the Rayman games, their whimsical presentation has a direct correlation with the end result (that being fun, laughter, and wonder), so they do have a big impact here. This game is a visual treat, and I predict that it will be impervious to the "aging" that most games suffer from, because the art direction is so marvelously realized.

Though Legends' graphics may make this game look a tad childish, do not be deceived - this is a meticulously designed platformer that offers tremendous challenges. Furthermore, if you study the layout of the levels and practice, you will discover that there is an incredible amount of sophistication here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game for kids May 14, 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One|Verified Purchase
If you're looking for a game for kids 5 or 6+ that is designed in the mold of classic family friendly titles like Mario, then this game is for you. Call of Duty and other first person shooters seem to dominate the market but Rayman is a game that I let my kids play with no reservations. It's clean fun! The graphics are excellent and not Wii-ish. There's plenty of action and quite a bit of comedy. A few of the harder levels may be difficult for small kids as they require somewhat advanced timing abilities. A great game! An excellent B-Day/X-mas present from the grandparents who know little about video games!

It is great that many parents are looking for the good stuff not the ugly violent trash that get put out there.

Solo is very fun to play and the music levels are a blast. But the multiplayer is what sets this game apart. In fact the "Kung Foot" soccer game is so addicting its slightly disturbing. Once your and your opponent (must be another human, no CPU available) have mastered the controls "Kung-Foot" becomes more of a chess match than a skills game. Not since "Conquors bad fur day" or "Mario Kart" have I experience a multiplayer game where post victory/defeat emotions are so intense (often leading to real life fights). I have Battlefield, Titanfall, Call of Duty, that zombie game and Rome, and I have played Raymond more than all of them combined (and I like all of those ((except Rome)). This game is worth every drunken cent I spent on it.

My kids (10 & 6) just love this! The older one was not interested in it until he started playing. And, the younger one is happy there's a game more suitable for him.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay
Forgot how much of a kids game Rayman was. Always loved playing them growing up. If you can get it for $10-15 it is worth it. Definitely do not spend $40.
