4.0 out of 5 stars For Rayman Fans of all Ages May 6, 2002

This is a game that uses the characters of Rayman 2 and puts them in challenging races against each other. ON FOOT! Hows that for being different? I love cart racing games, and never thought about racing characters on Foot, good job UB Soft

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent-enough Rayman April 14, 2013

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Well....While Ubisoft still has Rayman Legends locked up for no reason whatsoever, I may as well talk about a Rayman game that no one has ever talked about. At least in comparison to the other Rayman titles. That game is Rayman Rush for the Playstation 1.

So....What IS Rayman Rush? Well, it's believe it or not, a racing game featuring Rayman, Globox, Razorbeard, his henchmen, and.......this.......creature. And these....female....versions of characters. Whaaat? Anyway, like Sonic R before it, Rayman Rush actually has the characters run on foot.

No wait, scratch that. Rayman Rush uses Rayman 2's gameplay and tosses in racing elements. Fortunately, that was all it was to it, aside from a few other game modes. The characters all play the same for the most part, so there definitely is balance here. Along with balance is some pretty fun platforming, not to mention a few obstacles to avoid, as well as your opponent. Now beware: Despite the balance, if you get attacked, you will experience quite the frustration for 5 seconds. Your character is nearly immobile as the opponent continues running. At least you can do the same to your opponent by shooting him or her.

Players are treated to 24 tracks. There we go! That's the amount I'd like to see in a racing game. And the track selection itself is pretty nice. The tracks offer some interesting designs, multiple paths, a few obstacles, and are just good fun to play in. They aren't as top-notch as Mario Kart, but they're still good tracks.

The music is....uh......huh? There's only one song? With really slight variations? Well, that's disappointing. The song itself is pretty catchy, but it wouldn't have killed Ubisoft to add in some more to the soundtrack.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Godson loves it! September 17, 2005
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game as a gift for my Godson(he's 5 years old) and he loves it. I actually sat down and played it for quite a while with him and I had fun with it too. It's a great game and the levels/graphics are pretty cool!
