Razbaby Raz-Berry silicone Teethers Double Pack Both Colors in One Package.

My 8 month old chewed right through the handle the first time I gave it to her. It is a TEETHER, and should have been able to stand up to being chewed on. Its a choking hazard if you ask me!

This teether is NOT SAFE and DOES pose a serious choking hazard. The "mouth shield" is very flexible and allows an infant or small child to turn the teether sideways and get the entire thing into their mouth, as it happened with my 5-1/2 month old son recently. Fortunately, I was in the room when my baby got the entire teether stuck sideways in his mouth and began to choke, all within two minutes of his first time using the teether. The mouth shield and ring both need to be made of hard, inflexible material, the same as a pacifier, to avoid this choking risk.

I recently contacted Razbaby.com and was told the following:

"We are very sorry to hear of your incident. The RaZberry teether has been
in the market since 2004 and we have never had this issue.

The RaZberry teether has been tested extensively for all the safety
standards for pacifiers. One of the many test that is performed is on the
shield (mouth guard) to make sure it does not present a choking hazard. It
has passed all the standards in the USA, Europe, Canada and Australia."

Nevertheless, the instructions on the back of the package clearly state "This product is not a pacifier or a toy." It also states "Do not tie the teether around baby's neck as it presents a strangulation danger." Really? Before or after they've choked on the teether itself?

I have researched this issue online and found that other many parents have complained of the same choking problem. Absolutely nowhere on the package does it even state the possibility of any risk of choking. Maybe pacifier testing standards are less stringent than toy standards (as most pacifiers are "built" the same.) Seems like every toy on the market has a statement of "may pose a choking risk" somewhere on the packaging, even puzzles and stuffed animals.

If you're going to buy this item from Amazon or anywhere else, be careful and watch your baby at ALL TIMES, but I wouldn't take the chance. It only takes one time.

My first Razberry recieved was for my baby shower. My son loved it that I had to buy a couple of more so that he can have one at his grandmother's house. I also bought a couple of other ones for my family members with babies. I recommend it to everyone. LOVE IT!!!

My son started teething at 3 months and all of the standard teethers were either too big to fit in his little mouth or difficult to use since he did not have the dexterity yet to keep them in his mouth himself. The pacifier was small enough to fit and he was able to keep it in without me holding it for him. Didn't give it a 5 simply because one improvement they could make is to fill the pacifier bulb with water so that it can be chilled (package says chillable but it doesn't stay cold very long since it is not liquid filled). I also liked the fact that it was silicone and did not contain any harmful chemicals like pvc or phthalates like some other teethers on the market.

Have given this at several baby showers, it is unique and cute, good for either sex! Good to pair with Sophie the Giraffe toy.

I liked and thought the Raz-Berry silicone teethers were neat. The baby just seemed to be uncomfortable putting it in his mouth like it is to big. I'm glad I bought it, he just might not be use to it.

This product is great! I give it all 5 stars because my little girl loves these! I am so happy I purchased them right after her first tooth appeared. She can handle these better than her other teething products, although they are a bit big for her mouth. I am very happy with my purchase!

I got one of these for my youngest son back in June and have gotten a couple more since then. (with 2 sons under 3 years, everything gets lost!) They are awesome! I dont know why people say they are cheap or a choking hazard, my youngest has never had a problem with them, he likes them better than any of his other teethers and they have been durable enough for a 2 year old with a mouth full of teeth to chew on them & not break. The entire pacifier is textured so even if the raspberry part is to big for a younger baby, they can chew on the sides or handle. I usually throw them in the freezer between uses to give an extra cooled benefit. Great product, great price and I actually came on today to get a couple for my niece who is teething and i cant find these in stores anywhere. Would recommend this to anyone with a teething child, these are a must have!

Great teethers, my grandson just loves biting on these when his gums are hurting. They seem to help sooth the hurt.

i love the teether, it soothes my son when he is fussy and his gums are hurting. he likes the bright colors on them to, so it helps distract him from his sore gums.
