These Razer Vespula pad surfaces are great!
LOTRFan
This is a nice compact mat and the wrist cushion is comfortable, but it appears that mine has somehow become warped.

The moment I let go of the mouse it would start to slide a little ways across the pad.

I've had this mouse-pad for 6+ months now, and while I like it, it has its problems. I started using the control side but found the mouse would move on its own too easily if the mouse cord was exerting any kind of pressure on the mouse at all. The moment I let go of the mouse it would start to slide a little ways across the pad.

So ever since I have used the speed surface, which works quite well. After maybe 1-2 months, the speed surface began to bubble up. This started in a corner where basically, the the edge of the pad surface would remain stuck to the base, but just past the edge would come loose from the base forming something like an "air bubble" that pushes the surface up. It got to be annoying as my hand would rest near that corner a lot while I used my mouse, so I turned the pad around so the bubble was now in my least used corner. Over time this has spread to be about 1/8 of the mouse surface. At about the 5 month mark, a new bubble has started forming in the opposite corner from the first.

Another annoying thing about this mouse-pad is how it tends to wear down a little, gets minor scratches from the mice I have used, and seems to get a coating from the feet of my mouse that can't be removed. (I've used Logitech G500 and G700 mice on this mouse-pad.) It is hard to accurately describe, but you can sort of see what I mean in a video review someone else made in the 3 star section here.

The Vespula mouse mat feels unncessary but it works for what it is. The hand rest works but may bother others with how it feels. You don't really notice too much of a difference between the rough and the smooth side unless you are playing flying jets in battlefield but even then it is not that much.

These Razer Vespula pad surfaces are great! They have perfect traction for your mice, infact, you can flip them over to choose between ultra smooth or textured surface, both feel great for precision design work, or pwning nubs in TF2.

Heres the thing.... Personally, I hate the colors and logos on the default green version. Mass Effects N7 Theme however, regardless of it being an EA license, its a pretty pad, the color scheme is great, the battleworn scratched look on the textured side is super rad. However, that BEAUTIFUL N7 logo on the wrist pad you see in the previews? Well, don't get too attached to it. Took all but 2 days of mayble 6 hours of total usage before those things rubbed/peeled off, its like a bad Iron On logo or something. Also, Wrist pad is really stiff and slim, so its not exactly the most comfty of wrist pads - What I've done, is rotated my Vespula 180' so I can use another brand of super comfy wrist pad.

All in all, great surface, shitty N7 logo and wrist pad.
If you like green, and love the design of the default green version, get it, probably not worth the premium unless you really LOVE the red/blk/white colors, I sure do.

The N7 Logo is nothing but a white smudge, but I love this mouse pad.
I got it as I love Mass Effect and wanted a new mouse pad.

I was pleased by both.

Technically my girlfriend gave this to me for my birthday. Actually I received an amazon gift card which is my favorite store, and this is what I've had my eye on. I love this mouse pad so much, i dont use the smooth side as much as I had thought I would. Which is why I ordered this mouse pad instead of a pad with only the "control" side. Mass Effect decals are a great touch, But the "N7" on the wrist cushion WILL rub off. Kinda wish it was ironed on or embedded, but for comfort's sake I'm sure its fine to wear off. Honestly I've had this mouse pad for over 3 months and I just noticed as of this review that it's worn off. Razer makes the best gaming peripherals!

This is a magnificient mouse pad. The mouse (logitech M705) seems to float over the surface. My only complaint is that the Transformers logo on the gel pad has all but disappeared.

I've been using this mouse pad since the first week of August and overall I am happy with the purchase.

Pros:
Nice and Stable good grip on glass and wood surfaces both so no slipping around
Wrist rest nice and comfy during long gaming sessions
Surface choices are a nice add seems to have really improved mouse accuracy
Nice solid material no bending and warping that many mouse pads suffer from

Cons:
Razor Imprint on wrist rest rubs off almost instantly
A little Steep on the price side it is after all a mouse pad
Surface showing signs of wear already quality could have been a little higher for the price

Haven't had it long, but very well made, looks good and feels good. Only thing is the N7 on the wrist support is already starting to come off after only a week. Otherwise, awesome!
