5.0 out of 5 stars High Five!, December 27, 2007

This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
This is the first mousepad i've ever owned that cost more than $8 and it is well worth it. i use it with a logitech g9 mouse and it is very nice. i thought i'd be using the speed side of this pad but i have come to find that my mouse feels much smoother on the control side and is also quieter. some have said that this is big, really big. yeah i guess so, but i have a relatively compact corner desk and it still fits just perfectly on it. i don't use the included wrist pad. i hate those things. i threw this one on the floor and now my cat likes to sit on it so it serves a purpose elsewhere. overall, this is very nice and seems to be built very tough. get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oddly worth every penny, January 6, 2008
This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
I'm not much for mousepads - the last one I had for optical mice lasted me 6 years and it was a simple 3M space one that has since been retired.

I couldn't believe I was paying this much for a mousepad, even one with a wrist rest (who uses those??? or so I thought...), but it was completely worth it. Not only is the surface much easier to control the mouse on, but the wrist rest prevents hand fatigue and is genuinely comfortable to use.

The mat itself is seperate from the wrist rest, so it's easily removable, however I'd advise against it.

All in all, worth the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Caution! Potential problem with wireless mice, June 5, 2008
By
This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
This mouse pad did not work with my Logitech mx600 wireless laser mouse. I think the aluminum in the pad interfered with the wireless transmitter. I set my old pad on top of the Exactmat and my mouse did not work. The further away I moved from the Exactmat, the better my mouse worked. This could be a problem with other wireless mice as well.

This is not a quiet mouse pad. The pad has a rough, hard surface that makes a significant amount of noise while mousing. I suggest ordering a pair of headphones at the same time if you don't already have one. If this had worked for me, I probably would have bought a second for the office, but I don't think my co-workers would have appreciated it.

However, it seems very well constructed, which earned it a second star from me.
