High Five!,

This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
This is the first mousepad i've ever owned that cost more than $8 and it is well worth it. i use it with a logitech g9 mouse and it is very nice. i thought i'd be using the speed side of this pad but i have come to find that my mouse feels much smoother on the control side and is also quieter. some have said that this is big, really big. yeah i guess so, but i have a relatively compact corner desk and it still fits just perfectly on it. i don't use the included wrist pad. i hate those things. i threw this one on the floor and now my cat likes to sit on it so it serves a purpose elsewhere. overall, this is very nice and seems to be built very tough. get it.

Oddly worth every penny,

I'm not much for mousepads - the last one I had for optical mice lasted me 6 years and it was a simple 3M space one that has since been retired.
I couldn't believe I was paying this much for a mousepad, even one with a wrist rest (who uses those??? or so I thought...), but it was completely worth it. Not only is the surface much easier to control the mouse on, but the wrist rest prevents hand fatigue and is genuinely comfortable to use. The mat itself is seperate from the wrist rest, so it's easily removable, however I'd advise against it. All in all, worth the price.

Caution! Potential problem with wireless mice,
By
This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
This mouse pad did not work with my Logitech mx600 wireless laser mouse. I think the aluminum in the pad interfered with the wireless transmitter. I set my old pad on top of the Exactmat and my mouse did not work. The further away I moved from the Exactmat, the better my mouse worked. This could be a problem with other wireless mice as well.
This is not a quiet mouse pad. The pad has a rough, hard surface that makes a significant amount of noise while mousing. I suggest ordering a pair of headphones at the same time if you don't already have one. If this had worked for me, I probably would have bought a second for the office, but I don't think my co-workers would have appreciated it. However, it seems very well constructed, which earned it a second star from me.

Big and very accurate mouse pad,

As hardcore gamer i really depend on good hardware. During my gaming times I owned several mouses/pads. This one is for my stable homme gaming station. It is big aluminium plate, double sided (speed vs accuracy) I am acctually using the accuracy one (less speed) with compensation via the mouse skates so it is like on speed one side.
I am not recommending the wireless mouses (even i am still using one), the aluminum somehow interference with wireless mouses, so i faced several problems with Logitech MX500. Which was solved by decreasing the length between the wireless base and mouse.
The exactres gell is really good one, it handle your hand for hours, the gum layer is also really well fitting the rest of the pad so it doesnot move on table.
PS: for mobile lan parties I use "Thunder8" aslo double pad but it's from "plasstic" with mobile case and little bit smaller than the razer.

This pad is alright, but has more resistance in movement than I like. It also wears down till its about unusable even though it took a year or two. I am going to get a cloth pad from steelseries.

It's Worth It!,

I only bought this product because I had a gift certificate to spend. I wouldn't otherwise have been able to justify the expense for a mouse pad, especially when my old one, that I had been using for well over a decade, was still working just fine (by which I mean it was still just lying on my desk doing what it does). But now that I've used the Exactmat I can see that it would have been worth purchasing, even if I had to put down some cash for it. I wouldn't have believed that there could be such a difference between a "normal" mouse pad and this one. But truly, there is. I don't quite know what to say except to encourage you, if you use your mouse as often as I do (pretty well all day every day) to give it a shot. I bet you'll be as amazed as I am. It actually makes a difference in accuracy, speed, and everything else you expect your mouse to do for you.

Perfect Gaming MousePad,

If you don't know this product or if you haven't try this mouse pad, maybe you all think that for 30 bucks you might want to get something more than just a mouse pad..
NO !! For $30 I would say that the mouse pad is NOT OVERPRICED!! I am very pleased with this product; this thing change my gaming habit completely and paired together with any kind of gaming mouse(or even a standard 800dpi mouse), this mouse pad will ease up your mouse movement especially in the game. There are 2 sides that you can use with the mouse pad, the speed and the control side..I still prefer the control side and use higher DPI or sensitivity on your mouse, but sometimes people also found that the speed side is also very useful to play RTS or MMO games to gain more speed for the cursor and get to your target faster. The special coating makes your mouse moves smoothly across the mouse pad with full control and relatively higher speed. The feel that I get from this pad is very different compared to other gaming surfaces; this one really gives you full control and stable feeling. I've tried some other mouse pad but so far this one is still the best. The wrist rest is also very useful if your mouse is positioned lower than standard(i.e. if your desk is too low). Some people found the wrist rest is useless, but not for me; I would say that this thing gives more comfort to your wrist and keep your hand from feeling tired after hours of intense mouse movements. The only problem for me is the size; this thing is gigantic and it will eat your desk space...but that is also what makes this pad rocks, it has a very gigantic size and surely you get the freedom to move your mouse around easily without having to worry about reaching the edge of the mouse pad. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I hope that if you are going to buy this item, you could feel the same as well. Hope this helps you! :p

Stylish but doesnt function well with Laser mouse,

This pad is nice but it really doesnt function well with the Razer Mamba mouse. When you lift the mouse up and put it back down, it loses tracking for a split second, which is REALLY frustrating when you are gaming. I ended up giving away this pad and bought a competitors which works much better with the Mamba. If you have a laser mouse I would not recommend this item.

Is it worth $40?,
This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed my new Razer eXactMat, I originally ordered this this mouse "pad" because I received a $50 gift certificate for Amazon.com and the only thing that my gaming rig was lacking was an exceptional mouse pad. I didn't really see the point of using a mouse pad with a laser mouse, but since I needed to use my gift card, I thought I'd give it a shot. This mat is a beautifully crafted piece of aluminum with two anodized surfaces (front and back) for speed or control and it works exceptionally well for intense FPS gaming as well as casual web surfing, etc...
I have used this mat with a Logitech G5, MX1100, and VX Nano and it is a pleasure to use, not to mention the fact that it allows my G5 to really get the most out of the 2000dpi laser engine. My only gripe is that the wrist rest that is included is, in my opinion, all but useless and it is far more comfortable to use to the mat w/o it. (but the good news is that the rest is removable and throwaway-able) In the end, this mat is unparalleled in its performance and the pros definitely out way the cons! in Case You Care... Razer exactMat/wrist rest review,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black (Personal Computers)
This combination makes a perfect addition to my Razer gaming mouse. The exactMat is more than twice as big as regular mouse pads. It is made of anodized aluminum and each side has a different texture; one set up to facilitate speed and the other to aid control. Both do their jobs very well. The matching wrist rest relieves the pressure on your wrist making it possible to use your mouse without discomfort for extended periods of time. Both products are made out of premium materials and I think they will last a very long time.
I highly recommend these products for anyone who uses a mouse extensiely for gaming or other activities. Harry Alban |
