So after dropping my Mionix 5000 on the floor rendering the optical useless, I was on the hunt for a new mouse. Came across this via a youtube video, and did a little research. I am very picky about which mouse I choose. Some are way to fat at the top, and others the palm part it too high for me to reach the right/left mouse clickers and my hand slides off. Went to Fry's to check it out about 2 weeks ago. Since it was covered in a snazzy clear "box", i couldn't put my hand on it like the other mice that fry's had on the store shelves to see how it would fit in my hand. At the time, it was $169, and I was a little floored at spending that much on a mouse.

So after 2 weeks of using my boyfriend's old corsair mouse, I decided to go for it. Saw today that Amazon had it for $124! What a drop! Ran to Fry's did a price match, and I was racing home to try my new mouse out. In the box, it is amazing! The unboxing, took a fair while since I couldn't separate the plastic bottom from the plastic top the mouse was in. Finally I got it open, and it was awesome.

The feel is very nice. Already on it was the "sled" looking finger resters for your thumb and pinky, but I love the finger grippers that you can put on there instead. I found that the much wider resters created extra lag on the mouse surface than the gripped ones. The adjustable palm rest is great. As soon as you take it out of the box it is raised high. All I did was scroll the wheel on the back to lower it and it was great. On the bottom I had to remove the screws to slide back the palm rest to the middle to adjust the length. Pairing was pretty quick, had a little fight trying to get the usb to fit just right into the whole on the charging dock but got it in there.

I don't usually write reviews but this time I gotta make one for this special mouse.

Overview:

When I received the mouse I was pleasantly surprised by the package came with it. The mouse is placed on a pedestal in the middle of the clear plastic box. Razer does know how to pack their products. It looks much more premium and I feel like my money was well spent. Alright, enough with that. I will list what I likes and don't like about this mouse. (FYI, I have used a Razer DA, Logitech G700s, and a Mad Catz 7 before so I do have a bit more experience with gaming mice).

LIKES
1. First thing I noticed was that the mouse is light (even with a battery). I personally like lighter mouse since it takes less force to move it around the mat.

2. The texture looks like a soft rubberized coating, but it is actually textured plastic so it makes my life easier when I want to clean it.

3. The buttons are really well placed and easily accessible. And it offers a feature called DPI Clutch. What it does is that if you unlocked it (via a switch under the mouse), the whole side panel become a button to lower your DPI (useful for designer or in FPS, but more on that later in the dont like). The feedback of the button is really good and I really like it.

4. Comfort - Many of you must have noticed that this product is similar to the Mad Catz in design. But I have to say this mouse is much more comfortable, even though it has less customization (but enough to fit your need). And the fact that they use magnet for the side panel makes it much easier to customize it on-the-fly (even though you prob won't do it that often, if not ever).

5. Tracking sensor - This is very important for me.

Purchased this mouse directly from Razer, not amazon, but heres are my thoughts on the mouse. the product is just spectacular. It has a great feel to it. the adjustable wrist plate gives you 3 different places to fit into your hand. the wings keep your finger from dragging on your mouse pad. The only thing it doesn't do is cook dinner. Or can it?

The Razer Ouroboros arrived in its sleek cube packaging to replace my aging Cyborg RAT 7. This mouse is the flagship of the Razer mice, and it shows; furthermore, it has forged itself from many of the best wireless peripherals to compete and dominate the elite gaming mouse market: both wired, and wireless.
In wireless mode, the mouse will turn off while not in use, preserving battery and potentially lasting days at a time. In wired mode, it will not only remain undisturbed, it will also charge itself. Every button, except for left mouse button, is customizable. You can alter or disable the brightness of the LEDs depending on wired and wireless connectivity. In the heat of a match, you will dominate, as the mouse will last hours without any hint of even being a wireless device. If it approaches a deadly battery percentage, it will alert you, and you need only plug in the braided, gold-plated micro USB to continue. Lastly, the range of use is above ten feet.
I have had one problem: when switching between wired and wireless connectivity, I would lose the ability to move the cursor. This issue was resolved by, when switching between wired and wireless connectivity, waiting for the beep that would come from the PC acknowledging that the device is unplugged, and only then proceeding to plug it into either the mouse or the wireless transmitter.
