Product Description

RazoRock Jaws Three Piece Open Comb Double Edge RazorEver since my partner and I plunged into the traditional wet shaving business, one of our quests has been to find a high quality, but low-priced safety razor, to offer our customers. The honest truth is... most men first try their hand at traditional wet shaving because of the economic benefits; it definitely makes a lot of cents (pun intended ;-)) to spend 15-20 pennies on a double-edge blade, rather than 3-5 dollars on a multi-blade cartridge. The problem was, most good quality safety razors start in the neighbourhood of $30-50, and this is for a “chrome over pot metal” razor. In the days of old, the Gillette safety razors were usually “chrome over brass” and lasted decades. We could have offered a lower quality/lower priced safety razor a long time ago, but that's not how the boys at ItalianBarber and RazoRock do business. We truly care about our customers and we strive to only offer high quality at affordable prices. Well... I'm happy to say, I think we have done it again! The new RazoRock Safety Razors come in both a Three-Piece design (TP) and a Twist-to-Open (TTO easy load) design. The Twist-to-Open models are chrome over a brass frame, the way it should be! The Three-Piece models sport a chrome over brass handle with a chrome over zinc alloy head. These, my friends, are safety razors the way they use to be made! The best part... we are offering these razors at extremely aggressive prices because we want to show the world that an amazing traditional wet shave can be had with an extremely low budget!

This is certainly a more aggressive razor than the De89, Mission, or 34C.

The solid-brass handle is 4 inches long, heavy, and well balanced, with aggressive knurling so that it won't slip from your soapy fingers.

I own about a dozen razors, both new and vintage, but this one has quickly become my favorite. When paired with a blue Personna lab blade, it gives me baby-smooth, irritation-free shaves in just two passes every single time.

The chrome plating is very thick and even, and the construction solid. No flaws that I can see. The solid-brass handle is 4 inches long, heavy, and well balanced, with aggressive knurling so that it won't slip from your soapy fingers.

There is a fair amount of blade exposure in the RazoRock Jaws but very little blade gap, resulting in an efficient shave, but not a harsh one.

You can't beat the price. For less than $20 you get a great razor that will give you a better shave than razors costing three or four times as much.

I must also compliment the seller Bellezz for very fast shipping and excellent packaging. I would gladly do business with them again.

The razor that I got had the blade misalignment common to these razors. Not only is one side of the blade exposed enough for me to see the tops of the writing on the blade, without very careful tightening down, the blade will also skew diagonally. It seems very aggressive and even after a week, I couldn't manage a decent shave without lots of weepers and razor burn.
By comparison, I've been using the Lord L6, also considered on the more aggressive side.

This razor has provided me with the closest shaves of my life, and I haven't cut myself at all. I'm very much impressed. I would add that it's important to be mindful of blade angle as well as maintaining zero pressure throughout the shave, but then I'm finding that those practices are crucial to success no matter what the razor or blade.

This is a quality DE razor at I would say the most reasonable price, this razor cuts fantastic, the blade on my razor is a little off center but not enough to cry foul and the bright side of that is it almost doubles the application of the razor because one side is more aggressive than the other. the handle is pencil thick like yellow pencil so its a wee bit awkward, it has good weight to it on the bright side, I personally lathed a different thicker lighter handle, but thats my perogative. I would buy this Razor FIRST if your looking at getting either your first DE or a good razor that you are not scared of loosing.

This will give anyone a close shave with no "danger close" issues. I had no issues as to improper blade placement or angle. The technique required is a very light touch linked with a shallow angle perhaps 15 degrees from vertical. I placed the razor perpendicular to my cheek and dropped the handle slightly and knew that was a bit too much. After a few adjustments I had it down. the angle and pressure is rewarded in a very smooth shave. This of course apples to any DE. Light pressure and good angle.

For $19.99 this is a very good razor.

And you could pull out the old cartridges, but the SHAME... You're not "traveling." This delivers a quick, wtg-atg, bbs shave. It will cost you some skin, but it feels good to have your face planed once in a while. The surprising thing is, how much safer this is for irritable neck than a straight bar. There is no gap for loose skin to be pulled into when you drop speed.

I'd never shaved with an open comb razor until using the Jaws. At $20, this razor was a great way to try it out.

The fit and finish on this razor is very nice. I find the build quality to be better than the entry level Merkurs and not quite as nice as the Edwin Jaggers. I would have expected the Jaws to be about on par with the RazoRock Mission. They are very similar, but if anything, the Jaws just fits together better. The handle has fantastic weight and excellent grip.

This is certainly a more aggressive razor than the De89, Mission, or 34C. It's also more aggressive than my Weber Classic (my daily driver). Given the aggression, I was initially a little apprehensive. However by the time I completed three passes on my first shave, I was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness and much more confident.

The blade doesn't curve as much as in most of my other razors. This, together with my inexperience with open combs, had me playing around with the angle more than usual. I eventually figured the angle out when I started paying more attention to the sound. This razor is very audible and provides great cues to keep you in the sweet spot.

Like most RazorRock products, the Jaws provides a lot of bang for your buck. I find this razor to be a nice tool for shaving and a clear market leader in terms of value proposition.

Good razor and the price is low. My have little metal chunk between the tooth, not a problem for shave and I need to look close to see them but you undersand this is not a 100$ razor. But for 15$ I do not complain as it look near to my Merkur 23c and I can change the lower part of the head to lower is agressivness.

With this razor you really feel the blade, probably why it called Jaws. First time after my second pass my skin was really irritate as I was not so experienced in DE shaving. Even 2 day after when I was about to shave again I realise my skin was still irritate. After some carefull shave I manage it really better and I like it and I never cut myself with it.

I like the fact that is eat a beard or hear so easily, the blade feel on the skin and it shave very close. An excelent razor but probably not for inexperienced one (The slab or mission from RR should be better for them) or an every days use as my skin should be irritate.
