This Razor A3 scooter is a great step up from the inexpensive, less robust scooters you'll find in many stores. Very strong: my 11-year-old weighs about 100 pounds and it has easily absorbed use and abuse from him and his friends for months.
The large wheels are a great feature, as is a neat adjustment which you can use to keep the handle secure to the base without rattling. The hand grips are very comfortable, and are also the part most likely to wear first, but they are easy to replace if you ever need to.

I bought this for my [...] year old son to replace his old razor scooter. My son isn't the most coordinated of children and wasn't able to glide much on his old scooter. This one looks very close to the old scooter but it is much easier for him to glide and keep his balance. The wheels are bigger and there are some other minor adjustments that help and it doesn't look like a toddler razor at all. Hope this helps

I purchased this scooter for my 6-year old's birthday. It has been a huge hit. She previously had a 3-wheeled scooter also by Razor that just didn't move fast enough. The only problem is that all the neighbor kids and her 3 year-old sister want to ride it so much that she doesn't get to ride it as much as she wants. It is solidly built and has a very smooth ride.

I had the original A1 Scooter for a few years, a while back I came home and found it ripped in half! I had been without a scooter for a few years and decided to buy a new one. The A3 is a great improvement on the other Razors, it's handel bars are much higher than the A1, high enough to perfectly fit a five foot five inch teenager like myself, I ordered a green one from this page and it came exactly when it was estimated for delivery. The weight resrictions I don't beleive are acurate, I way several pounds more than the recomended weight and can ride it just a well as my 11 year old neighbor. It is important to hose of and theroughly dry this scooter after every use (if you want to keep it looking new) the weels atract dirt and dust very easily.

Bought it for daughter's Christmas gift. She loves it. Cool color. Adjustable height is useful for her short height. She is very proud with it. Bigger wheels gives a bit more stability.

We purchased an A3 scooter for our 5 y.o. for his birthday three weeks ago. He was eager to own one and loves it. He's already taking small jumps with the scooter and really enjoying the skateparks with it. It's much easier and safer than a skateboard for a five y.o. His friends 4, 5 and 6 years all want one as well so I think it's a great gift for that age. We bought the scooter with the larger wheels thinking that it would handle bumpy side walks and grass better than the ones with the smaller wheels which it seems to so far. As far as quality, we can't tell yet how it will keep up since we've only had it a short time.

It might say it only works for up 143-pound user weight capacity, but I'm here to tell you it works for 160 pound adults as well. It's primary use is by my 7 year old son. However, prior to purchasing my wife a bike I had to use this for family bike rides. Amazingly this scooter not only withstood a beating I put it through, but also was capable of speeds of fast biking on various paved terrains. Don't just buy one for you child make sure you put a quantity of 2 or more for the whole family when placing your order.

Purchased for a Christmas gift. The larger wheels and stronger construction was just what my son needed. He had the orignial A scooter for several years but is now a teen and was in need of a new razor with stronger construction. He was also wanting the wheely "kick" bar over the back wheel. Overall, the A3 gave him everything he needed to continue enjoying "the Razor." Kick stand would have been a nice addition to this model but no big sweat..can just be one more thing to break in my opinion. Price on Amazon couldn't be beat. Price was by far the best from a host of on line sites I checked. Shipping was great deal and came quickly, within 3 or 4 days after ordering it just a week before Christmas! In the word of my son "Santa be very very good to me!"

I bought this item for my son (age 9). All his friends were riding them. I originally thought that he'd play with it for a while and then get bored. I was wrong. He loves it. It is constantly in the trunk of the car so that anywhere we go, he can get it out and ride it. I have told everyone who has seen him riding it that it was money well spent. I highly recommend this item.

The extra coxt of the A3 is worth it. The larger wheels and better brakes make doing tricks or just riding it easier.
