Bought this scooter for our 5 yr old to work on balance and coordination. He loved it and figured it out almost immediately. The big wheels are great for not getting caught up on cracks, small stones or small sticks like small wheeled scooters can do. Platform is nice and wide for comfortable riding. Adjustable handle fits our 3 yr old too who wants to also learn. Folds easily for storage or travel.

what a great scooter!,
By It is so much better and faster than the original version of Razor, since the wheels and the deck are biger. It rides nice and smooth. It is so much more stable than the original and having more room for your back foot becomes realy handy. I am 5'8" and I have no problem riding it. The handle extends just enough for my hight. What a great product. I recomend it!

Great scooter for kids, too!,

I bought this scooter for my son's 5th birthday. It looked large in the box, and my husband immediately took it out and rode it around the house - WOW! It is smooth and fast and fun. I was worried that it might be too big for my 34 lb 5 year old, as it was his first 2 wheeled scooter, but he was up and going immediately! This is great at the park - he can coast along the sidewalk forever without even kicking. The large platform is easy for him to balance on and the large wheels easily go over large sidewalk cracks and he even rode on some of the packed down winter grass! The handle bar easily adjusts up and down so my son and husband could take turns. I believe this to be the BEST scooter out there for riding!

Go for this upgrade!,

The Cruiser model is MUCH better than the standard Razor, especially for adults and larger children. The wider, wooden deck is more comfortable than the standard narrow aluminum deck. Also, the wooden deck flexes to absorb shocks and road bumps (the larger wheels help, too!).

It's cute, but the metal one is better!,

I bought this for my daughter because she outgrew her Barbie Scooter and her little bother has the metal version of this scooter. We thought the pink was really cute - which it is! However, I don't care for the curve in the wood platform which feels wierd under your feet. It flexes as you ride and your weight shitfs! Also, beacause it is wood, it gets scuffed a lot easier than the metal version. This scooter even cost more than the metal version. I don't think it was worth it! If I had it to do over, I probably would have purchased the metal one instead. I think my daughter would rather have the pink one though given the choice and I guess that is what matters! She likes it!

Great scooter, just too short for adults over 5'9",
This review is from: Razor Cruiser Scooter (Sports)
I got this scooter to save me a few mins walking to the bus station.
I read one reviewer on here saying that the handlebars are too low for anyone over 5'6". I'm 5'11" but decided to give it a try anyway. I have to agree that the handlebars are too low for most adults. I would say 5'9" is the limit. The Razor Pro scooter has handle bars that are 3" higher, and I think that would be good for people up to 6' tall. As for the wood deck, that same reviewer said it came warped. The deck is bowed, but that is a part of the design. The deck will flex when you stand on it, so it was designed to bow upwards to compensate for the flex. The flex on the deck does make the ride smoother by helping to absorb some of the bumps. But I feel this flex also makes the ride feel less stable. Personally, I would prefer a solid metal deck. Overall, the scooter is well made and I would highly recommend it to anyone under 5'9"

I have the Razor Pro because I weigh 210 lbs and 5'7, and I bought the Cruiser for my son so that we can scoot around together in the park. I sometimes borrow his cruiser and it can take my weight, without a problem. The board doesnt even bend that much. It is very well made, and it really looks good.

Razor Cruising,

I'm 59, bought this for a week-long trip to Manhattan to take photographs and exercise in the process(more than I expected!).
It maneuvered bumpy, city sidewalks, Times Square crowds and Central Park, bike paths(cruises faster on suburban sidewalks). Because it folds and weighs only 8 pounds, I carried it on the subway, into restaurants and stores. I recommend buying a wide, luggage strap and/or light-weight, laundry bag to tote it around. Great, "adult" scooter for sidewalk cruising.

I purchased this scooter for both my 8 and 10 year old daughters as they had out grown their "begginer" scooters. They love the larger wheels for getting over the lip of the driveway and bumps in the sidewalk, as well as the smoother ride. The slightly wider platform was a plus too. Would definitely recommend this product.

Bought as a christmas gift. It is built well and looks good. The only problem experienced was that two days after use the decal (sticker) pattern that is adhered to the foot deck area started to curl at the edges and peel off.
Otherwise, it is a good product. |
