Works great! Had it for 2 months and our 11 year-old son uses it at least 3 times per week. His friends love it too! It lasts for at least an hour on a charge and can easily go 5-10 miles on flat ground before it needs to be recharged. Follow the instructions and always fully charge it after every use.

Update: Now we've had this for 18 months and it gets very heavy use. It still works great and holds a charge.

Second update: We have now had it for over 2 years and the battery is pretty much dead. It still runs but very slowly.

I bought this scooter to commute to and from work. The battery life while not as long as it was reported to be, was sufficient for a mile and a half ride through city streets. The only other drawback is that there is no suspension system. I used this scooter twice daily for about six months without any problems, eventually the batteries began to take less of a charge and after finding out what a replacement set would cost I decided to upgrade to a different scooter. If Razor ever makes a 36V version with front fork and rear suspension I would buy it. I did have a motor issue but razor has a great customer service dept. and the issue was solved very quickly at no cost.

Out of the box needed air in tires and chain adjustment. After that was ready to go, I use it for going back and forth to work and its great. The office gets a kick out of it and I find its faster than driving due to traffic lights. Speed is fast enough for me and I would imagine its great for kids also. Haven't had any serious issues and its been about 2 wks. Battery time isn't huge for me as I said my ride is only about 3mins so for me it works.

Very sturdy, visually appealing, and lots of fun I must say.

I dreaded the idea of putting this scooter together. Yet it was simple enough I had it ready in less than 5 minutes.

My daughter absolutely loves it. Like with most ride on toys I have purchsed in the past, I was concerned it may just go too slow for actual enjoyment. The E300 was pleasantly surprising in that it does not go too slow or too fast. It can go upto approximately 20 mph which should be more than enough for any young person not yet old enough to drive.

Another pro we like about it is that the E300 does not require the step and push like you do with a skate board to get going. The E100's you do, and they're much slower than the E300. Yet, consider the age differences of kids using them and perhaps slower may be just right for a younger child.

It does come with some charge to it, but be sure to follow manufacturer's recommendation of charging it the first time for 18 hours prior to use. We have no complaints as of yet on the range of time it runs for. My child has been getting an adequate amount of run time since she's gotten it and never less than 40 minutes.

However, I would have to agree on the time it takes to recharge. I think perhaps, if Razor made it a portable rechargeable battery, perhaps we would consider investing in a back up battery to have continuous use of the scooter while the other battery would recharge.

Other than that? I find this scooter to be fun and available at a good price.

By the way, the customer service for Razor is very helpful. Please be rea

My son's now 10. We bought an e300 when he was 7.5. The original batteries rbegan to hold just about 1/8 of a mile for him after about 6 months. I bought some off the internet that had decent reviews and a higher capacity. They lasted just under a year.

I'd like it if the throttle was more than just on/off as well.

Nothing's fallen apart.

I've owned this scooter for over 6 months now and I still love it. I weigh 220 pounds and this little work horse has no trouble carrying me around. I do not get the posted speed or distance listed in the specs but I do get between 3 to 4 miles on a charge and about 10 mph on it but 1 to 2 miles round trip is just fine for running quick errands that you don't want to get the car out for. I live in neighborhood with low rolling hills and I suspect I would get more distance on it if there were none. The large wide wheels are nice for an occasional bump or crack and they help with stability but I wouldn't off road with this thing or use it on un-leveled sidewalks. It was easy to assemble and loved the fact that Amazon delivered it to my door (there is a review that talks about how to loosen the chain for first time use - it was a very helpful suggestion). My only regret with this scooter is the battery wattage, I wish it was larger like the eZip 750 or Super Scooter, with the current battery this unit is a little too powerful for younger children and not quite powerful enough for adults.

my kids each got these last year for Christmas. they are incredibly fun for VERY SHORT runs; they STINK on anything less than perfectly flat roads or for any length of time. So, if you go somewhere down hill--you're walking that thing back home. also, if you carefully read the manual it states that the average ride time is 45 MINUTES!!! "Average ride time" really translates to "you're lucky if you can ride for 25 minutes." Additionally, it must be stored in a place where it won't get too cold--so your garage is out. it'll look just lovely in your front hall. LOL
great concept, terrible product. buy a bike or take a risk on a gas powered scooter--this thing just doesn't cut it.
