4.0 out of 5 stars E300S scooter
I got this scooter about 1 month ago, a little more. So far I am very pleased with it. The scooter is very easy to control, actually there is nothing really comlplicated about it. It is advertised as being able to go only 15 mph but I have clocked it at 19.7 mph. Only one reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the charger. The scooter when fully charged only holds...

This review is from: Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter (Sports)
This seated Razor scooter is very well constructed, and even though it has only been test-driven one time because of adverse weather conditions, it seems to reach an adequate top speed. However: if planning to purchase the E300S Razor, be aware that the scooter will only operate for a maximum of forty (40) minutes, after which it takes at least eight (8) hours of recharging to prepare it for another forty (40) minutes of use.
It is also noted in the directions that the two (2) 12 volt batteries can be recharged about 200 times before they have to be replaced. This means if the scooter is used and recharged every day, the batteries will have to be replaced in just a little over six (6) months. These are two things that need to be considered before making a purchase.

It is advertised as being able to go only 15 mph but I have clocked it at 19.7 mph. Only one reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the charger. The scooter when fully charged only holds its charge for only about 45 minutes. I have also heard from a reliable source that after about 200 charges the battery goes out and you need to buy a new one. This is still a great scooter and is a good value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun!, June 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Now that I've had the scooter for a couple of weeks, I feel it's a good time to write a review.

I'm in college. I'm 5'3" and weigh 118 pounds. This scooter is the perfect size for me. In fact, like another reviewer who is my height said, my feet almost don't touch the ground when I'm sitting on the seat. So please keep that in mind if you are thinking of purchasing this scooter for a child.

This scooter is powerful and fast. It easily makes it up average hills. It will not climb steep hills but you can help it along by kicking.

The battery lasts a long time for me. I haven't kept time, but I can make it around town and back and still have charge left. It's easy to combine coasting and power to make the battery last longer.

The handlebars don't adjust in height. It's a big scooter. It weighs 60 pounds. You will need to leave it outside when you reach your destination, so you'll need a good lock.

It needs to charge for at least 12 hours when the battery is low. Unfortunately, there is no battery indicator.

I love the color. It is pink with little flowers and super cute. I receive compliments about it all the time.

I attached a removable wire basket to the seat post (it faces backwards). You may want to consider one, too, because it's handy when you need to carry books, groceries, etc.

The scooter is great fun! It's good for the environment, too. I would totally recommend it to other college students. I use this for quick errands and then take the bus or carpool if I need to go somewhere farther.

I would also recommend it to teenagers who can't drive yet because you don't need a license for this and the freedom you gain is priceless.

Amazon shipped this quickly and I received it in less than a week. Great price, great company.

4.0 out of 5 stars good child's scooter, January 21, 2008

I bought the scooter for my son and it is fine. It is easy to assemble and my son really likes it. I have had no problem with the scooter. The only negative is the 225 lb maximum. weight that is stated in the description. Perhaps this is the structural maximum weight in that it can support 225 lbs without breaking. I weigh 180 lbs and the scooter won't go very well with me as the rider. I would say a more realistic maximum weight is about 125 lbs. Any higher than 125 lbs and I would suggest looking at some of the 4 battery scooters.

Daughter loves the scooter! Solid design. She uses it without the seat. Charge lasts a long time.

This looks like a sturdy scooter. If your children like speed this is the right scooter for them. However, the seat may be too high for short children. I tried it myself, I am 5'3" tall and my feet barely touches the ground to help me balance. It didn't look that tall on the photo. Amazon made the assembly very easy just 3 parts put together very straightforward.

5.0 out of 5 stars Razor Rocks!, January 6, 2009

This Electric Razor E300S with seat absolutely made our 13-year old son's Christmas! We got a great price compared to video gaming system bundles this year and it took less than 10 minutes to assemble. I did alot of research before choosing this model and I was concerned about some of the battery/power issues but after buying one I can confirm we have had no issues. My son has had good steering control, power up to 15 mph (as marketed) and the battery has lasted about 30 minutes which is just enough for him to tool around the neighborhood but not go too far. We love this product and are planning to buy a second one. As far as the seat, he reports that he likes having the seat because standing up get old and he doesnt have as much control as when he is seated.

This is a great scooter! Heavy duty and fast! Got it for my 7 year old daughhter and she loved it. It goes plenty fast and has a good battery life between charging. It can even carry Dad (240#)as long as not going uphill. Should last a long time and will probably get used by my 4 year old when he gets a little older.
