I just got this little chopper for my nephew for Christmas (not from here, got one locally). Assembly was a no brainer. It's 95% assembled already. You just have to put the front end on and handlebars on and it's ready to go. The workmanship is plenty adequate and even impressed me in a few areas (I build real choppers). The clear coat over the graphics was a very nice touch and I was quite impressed with the little aluminum triple trees. My 16 year old took it out for a test spin and she was really moving up and down the street on it. Razor says it's for ages 12 and up but it seems kinda small for anyone over 12. it was way too small for my 16 year old. My nephew is quite a bit under 12 and my only concern is that it might be too fast (15mph) for him until he gets used to it. However, the speed control is fully variable with a twist throttle. It would be nice if there was a way to limit just how far you can twist it. A very nice safety feature is that motion is only capable if 3 things happen simultaneously. the left thumb must be on the green button. the brake lever must not be actuated and the throttle must be turned. if you let go of the throttle, the motor stops. If you take your thumb off the green button, the motor stops. And if you actuate the brake lever, the motor stops and the bike stops (will skid the tire easily). All in all, I think it's a great starter bike. Plenty safe, yet plenty fun!!! And it simply couldn't look any cooler!!!
ps. I gave it 3 stars for educational value because I really liked that Razor took the time to put a section in the owners manual for the kids about what it means to customize your bike and even included some suggestions and methods for the kids to customize this one. Nice touch!

I bought this for my 8-year-old and he really loves it. The bike was easy to assemble (just mount the fork). The box shows a teenager riding it, but I can't see how a kid much bigger than mine could use this. When you consider that this came with free shipping (which is bound to have cost half as much as the product), this is an amazing deal. It can go pretty fast down a hill (but so could a bicycle), but if your kid falls, it's only a few inches (make sure they wear a helmet and jeans). It's sturdy enough for a kid. Overall, I'm very pleased

i am 11 years old and i weigh 65 pounds. when you buy it the box sais 15 mph but it went 19 miles an our with me on it when it was 3/4 charged. and the price is not so bad. but it does have kinda slow acelleration but then it picks up speed. its so awesome. i think who ever sees this reveiw should buy it.
