I just got this little chopper for my nephew for Christmas (not from here, got one locally). Assembly was a no brainer. It's 95% assembled already. You just have to put the front end on and handlebars on and it's ready to go. The workmanship is plenty adequate and even impressed me in a few areas (I build real choppers). The clear coat over the graphics was a very nice touch and I was quite impressed with the little aluminum triple trees. My 16 year old took it out for a test spin and she was really moving up and down the street on it. Razor says it's for ages 12 and up but it seems kinda small for anyone over 12. it was way too small for my 16 year old. My nephew is quite a bit under 12 and my only concern is that it might be too fast (15mph) for him until he gets used to it. However, the speed control is fully variable with a twist throttle. It would be nice if there was a way to limit just how far you can twist it. A very nice safety feature is that motion is only capable if 3 things happen simultaneously. the left thumb must be on the green button. the brake lever must not be actuated and the throttle must be turned. if you let go of the throttle, the motor stops. If you take your thumb off the green button, the motor stops. And if you actuate the brake lever, the motor stops and the bike stops (will skid the tire easily). All in all, I think it's a great starter bike. Plenty safe, yet plenty fun!!! And it simply couldn't look any cooler!!!
ps. I gave it 3 stars for educational value because I really liked that Razor took the time to put a section in the owners manual for the kids about what it means to customize your bike and even included some suggestions and methods for the kids to customize this one. Nice touch!

I bought this for my 8-year-old and he really loves it. The bike was easy to assemble (just mount the fork). The box shows a teenager riding it, but I can't see how a kid much bigger than mine could use this. When you consider that this came with free shipping (which is bound to have cost half as much as the product), this is an amazing deal. It can go pretty fast down a hill (but so could a bicycle), but if your kid falls, it's only a few inches (make sure they wear a helmet and jeans). It's sturdy enough for a kid. Overall, I'm very pleased

i am 11 years old and i weigh 65 pounds. when you buy it the box sais 15 mph but it went 19 miles an our with me on it when it was 3/4 charged. and the price is not so bad. but it does have kinda slow acelleration but then it picks up speed. its so awesome. i think who ever sees this reveiw should buy it.

I bought this chopper in august of last year.2 weeks ago the off switch would not shut off the power.Called razor and they not only sent a new switch but a new throttle control and throttle.It shorted and produced the same problem.Bike is now inoperative and my grandson is really bummed out.Also no way to check air pressur in the rear tire.Razor does not list any service centers for this product.Bike looks and runs good but only got about 6 months before it died.

and it works well,wish that they would have put key switch on it instead of rocker switch,would also love to see a headlight option,overall it looks and performs great,styling was major factor in purchase,instruction manual is a keeper,dont buy it if you dont want other children jealous around your child

We got this chopper for our 5 year old on his birthday. He was alittle small for it at first. The chopper went so fast because of his size however after a few months he can really control it now. He loves it. We have had no problems so far. Adults can ride this chopper also. My father inlaw came to visit and had so much fun on it. We think if your interested in this at all you should get it. You wouldn't regret it.

This bike is a lot of fun for kids cruising around a neighborhood with sidewalks and/or little or no traffic. It sits very low to the ground making it difficult to see to motorists. It also gets going pretty fast too, so know your child and choose carefully. Since it has the chopper styling in the front, it makes very wide turns. My kids have enjoyed it a lot this summer.

I ordered my own razor chopper bike today!!!I just had to get one after my friend let me use his.I really liked the style especialy the flames.Its twist control,24volt battery,250 watt motor are all great features.This makes it a nice present.overall I think its a great bike.

I can't believe how fast this thing goes!So far no prblems with it,I do however think it should have a younger age on it because my 8 yr old fits on it perfectly while my 11 yr old is way too big for it.Over all I think this is a very cool toy!Looks great,and hopefully lasts a while.I must confess,I have been riding it myself and I wish they had toys like this when I was a kid!!!

I bought this for my son on his 9th birthday. He just received this item yesterday as a gift. He thinks its very cool. I noticed the box states ages 12+, but it is very, very small. I dont really know how a 12 yr old could fit on this. The battery does not last very long, and then it has to be recharged again. I'm not sure how durable its going to be yet, hopefully, it will hold up.
