4.0 out of 5 stars super cute and sturdy, but way to SLOOOOWWW
my daughter got this for christmas when she was 4 1/2. she loved riding it around our house on hardwood floors, but once she felt comfortable enough to go outside she was disappointed. basically, no matter how much you walk before hopping on, it doesn't go anywhere. it is very very safe for a beginner though. my almost 3year old is now using it and is getting a little...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, but movement is poor
I bought this for my 3 1/2-year-old son who is not quite old enough/coordinated enough to use his brother's Razor A3. The scooter does not have enough glide to allow him to push off and then ride with both feet on the footboard; it won't go more than a few inches without constant pushing. This is frustrating for him when he sees his brother gliding up/down driveways and...

The scooter does not have enough glide to allow him to push off and then ride with both feet on the footboard; it won't go more than a few inches without constant pushing. This is frustrating for him when he sees his brother gliding up/down driveways and around corners. I think this could have been designed to allow for some glide while maintaining the sturdiness for younger kids.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Total Waste of Money, April 13, 2005
By
My 3yo son received a Razor Kiddie Kick scooter for his birthday, and it is such a piece of junk that we ended up throwing it away. He was so disappointed too, he had waited for months to get the scooter...the wheels have NO BEARINGS, just a plastic ring that rubs against the inside of the wheel and makes it impossible for the scooter to coast along, so he had to push and push and the scooter went so slowly that he got frustrated and finally gave up. We tried to replace the wheels with regular Razor wheels, but they are a different size, so we couldn't even fix it. We then contacted Razor, by phone and by email, and explained our disappointment, but they didn't return our calls or our emails.

All in all, this scooter was a total waste of time and money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jake loved it!, November 5, 2006

My grandson, Jake, loved his scooter. He's ony three and we found it easy for him to master. It's a great toy for the sidewalk, safely keeping a child out of the street. It's a great buy! Regards, Sue Frazer

1.0 out of 5 stars bearings! what bearings, July 14, 2004
This scooter comes with a plastic ribbed ring instead of bearings. The ring grinds away under normal use and becomes jammed. It is a serious design flaw.

3.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size and color but........., January 9, 2007
This review is from: Razor Kiddie Kick Scooter (Sports)
Got this for my daughter after I accidently ran over her Dora scooter. I went on Amazon looking for the kind of scooter that my son had years earlier that had two front wheels and one back wheel (more tip proof) but it was not available anymore. I came across this one and fell in love. Ordered it, got it and assembled it in like 5 min. The little tools to put it together are under a little plastic door on the base of the unit (found by mistake) I wish they told you that in the assembly instructions. The scooter is prettier than it is functional. It doesn't go as fast as a regular Razor and it has a bad turning radius, but since it is for younger kids, it is probably made that way. My 3 year old doesn't really ride it that often. She prefers the speed and turning radius of her older brother's big kid Razor. I imagine this coming summer she will probably ride more but I have a feeling it will be her brother's she chooses, not this one.

My daughter has enjoyed this scooter, but it would have been nice if the platform would have been made out of metal instead of plastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect first scooter, May 12, 2007

I got this scooter for my 2 year old, and he absolutely loves it! He learned how to ride it immediately. The design with the 2 wheels in the back, makes the scooter more stable for beginners and can stand up by itself when not in use. For the affordable price, this scooter rocks! I highly recommend it.

My son (4 yrs old) loved his scooter and rides it everywhere that he goes. I sent it to him from overseas during a deployment and he was all about it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Only for toddlers!!, August 22, 2004
By A Customer
I bought this scooter for my 5 year old son and will soon have to buy a bigger scooter. It would have been great for him at 3 years old, but just not enough speed for a 5 year old. It is great for stability in the rear with the two wheels. The wheels aren't ball bearing, so once the child stops pushing the scooter along with their foot, the scooter basically stops. Great for 2-4 year olds, but buy the original scooter for kids older than 4!!
